Terrible design, specification, and performance.
Bought this for the ability to configure the vehicle size (we drive a 7.5m motorhome), the fact it's pre-loaded with campsites and POIs in UK/Europe, and finally I was also attracted to the dashcam (one fewer gadget to stick to the window). Unfortunately it was nothing but trouble from the moment I booted it up. Upon first switching it on, it crashed, and to my horror I got an ancient looking Windows error message I couldn't get rid of without doing a hard reset by holding down the power button. Booted fine after that, but that's where the problems started. CONS: - Screen very unresponsive, physically - you have to be really careful how you touch the screen to get anything to respond - does it want a firm press of your finger, or a light tap of your fingernail? I never did figure that out. Not good when trying to drive! - Old operating system (Windows 6 CE, the latest version of which was released in 2009 according to Wikipedia) - Painfully slow and buggy to use - the pre installed quick start guide is a pdf and it's practically impossible to read it, scroll through it, select the next page - it is that bad I gave up and searched for the manual on my phone. It literally doesn't appear to have the operating power to view its own pdf manual. - Got really, really hot when charging it. Not too hot to hold but worrying nonetheless. - Slow start up compared to other (and older) units I've owned/borrowed. - Bad design in terms of the mounting and bracket. Because the bracket that holds the unit is vertically asymmetrical, the unit only sits in it one way (there are 2 mounting points along the bottom and one along the top) so if you want to hold it upside down (if mounting stood on the dash as opposed to hanging down from the screen) you need to be able flip the bracket in the mounting arm. Only you can't do that - because the bracket has a picture frame type stand built in which stops you lining up the mounting slots on the back. - Not a con but worth mentioning in 2021, the mount has a stylus built in. Yep, a mini stylus like a little black toothpick. My kids were fascinated. - Calculated my first route ok, but crashed/froze with a Windows error message about 2/3 of the way along, for no reason. Glad I was testing it on a familiar route! Nothing would unfreeze it until I switched off the ignition which is when the auto-shutdown screen came on which is in my video (that froze too - couldn't press any buttons) I suppose there may be a firmware/software update somewhere... - Dashcam, yes, it's there - but to actually see what it's recording you seem to have to go into the Satnav settings, select DVR, at which point it says "initializing" for a short while (I think it's just initializing the view screen?). I never did figure out how to write protect a file (say if you were using the satnav and wanted to stop something being erased without any impact being experienced) because I genuinely don't think when the satnav is working there are any controls over the dashcam other than assuming it's recording. There are no icons or notifications it's actually doing anything? So if you have a bump etc, you can reasonably expect there to be a record of it - I suppose. - Kept warning me about sharp bends when there really weren't any (not compared to others we were happily driving through with no warnings at all). Not a showstopper but a little annoying. - slow to update the our position on the map - it would show us on approach to a complicated junction when we'd already gone though it. PROS: - it came with a case - quick and easy refund via Amazon In summary, there might be some of my gripes that could have been solved by a software update or perhaps I got a poor unit - but nothing can escape the fact this felt like using a PDA from 2004. I found the touch screen to be horrendous, the OS unbearably slow and buggy, and the physical design of the unit's bracket and housing nothing short of bizarre. Not recommended at any price, even free. Please note: The reason I have written this detailed review is to honestly describe my experiences of the unit and help potential buyers make a informed judgment. If I have made any errors about the capabilities or features of this item I will of course update/edit my review.

Old technology
Very clunky on touch screen. Cannot pair with in van radio bluetooth only connects to phone. Sound drowned out by vehicle noise. Dash cam feature works well. Go for a newr and more expensive unit.

No Mac updater for map software
Product works as expected. BUT It is advertised as having "lifetime map updates" without mentioning that the Mac map updating software is not currently available. When I questioned the company they said that it was under development and could give no indication of when it would be available. Very poor service.

Useless mounting bracket
Seems to be a good day nav but let down by a useless mounting bracket, bracket does not articulate enough to allow you to achieve a good position, bracket also obscure s a third of the view of dash cam, given most windscreens are a similar angle I think this will be a problem for most people

Not impressed
The instructions are sometimes confusing and they don't keep up with your driving eg motorway exit, you have already passed the exit when the snooper says take the exit now. This is the same on roundabouts as well.
