Solar powered camera in the birdhouse. Can monitor the activity of bluebird anytime without disturbing or getting in the dark of "should I open the door to check about what's the progress". The blue has already hatched 5 chicks and now laying eggs for second time in a month gap. The camera is the perfect helper, running on solar power and alway with 100% charged. Can format the SD card once getting full and moving the important clips. Very happy with Smar Birdhouse. Only drawback seems to be the saved video file is not separating audio and video in the editing timeliness. Still having oroblem to make the video sequence.

I bought this house in November and put it up as soon as I got it. All winter long the camera stayed online without any issues. Fast forward to Spring and the birds are starting to build a nest in it…but after an update 2 days ago the camera goes offline. Their customer service says it’s too far from the router but can’t explain why it was working fine for months prior to the update. Their suggestion is to move it within 16 feet of the router which means I have to put it in my bedroom. It’s too expensive to be just a birdhouse.

Very pleased with the bird house and camera. I am not a techie person but was able to set up. At this point no problems. I’ve been able to monitor blue birds that use the box and currently have 5 eggs!

I really like this bird house but can only give it 2 stars. The problem is not with the bird house, it is with the solar panel on top. The solar panel does not charge the camera battery. I have the camera set on standard definition and I am not using any notifications that would cause a drain on the battery. The app was easy to set up on my phone and every time I go to view activity in the birdhouse the battery life just keeps going down. I finally brought it into the house to recharge it via charging cable. Having said that, I cannot bring the birdhouse back inside to charge it once there is a bird family nesting inside. In addition, the solar panel on top can not be rotated to the best position for maximum sun exposure.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I loved my bird house. I was able to watch 3 rounds of eggs hatch into little birds, but I wish I had seen where it is only 2G compatible. We upgraded our internet, now its an ordinary bird house as the camera is unreachable.

This birdhouse offers several improvements over last years:​ Design and Durability Side Windows: It features openings on both sides, covered with clear plastic, serving as windows that allow light in and enable birds to see outside and bask in sunlight.​ Material and Coating: Constructed from cedar, a naturally water-resistant wood, and enhanced with an IP66-rated coating, it has demonstrated effective weather resistance so far. However, based on past experience, birdhouses often become heavily soiled after a nesting season, rendering them difficult to clean or reuse. Our previous birdhouse was beyond saving after one season.​ Size: The dimensions are suitable for smaller birds like bluebirds, aligning with its advertised purpose.​ Technical Features Camera, Solar Panel, and Battery: The integrated camera, solar panel, and battery function reliably, which is crucial. In our previous setup, the camera's battery failed, limiting our viewing to daylight hours. Addressing technical issues becomes challenging once birds have nested and laid eggs.​ Connectivity: This model maintains a stable connection; however, the camera requires a few seconds to activate, often resulting in missed bird activity by the time it becomes viewable.​ Mounting Hardware: Notably, it lacks pre-installed mounting hardware. Considering its $125 price point, inclusion of such hardware would have been expected.​ This is something our previous birdhouse came with. App Functionality The primary concerns pertain to the camera and its associated Tris Home app:​ Alarm Button: The app interface includes an alarm button at the bottom right corner of the video feed, which is easy to click accidentally, triggering a loud siren. Currently, we cannot identify a way to hide or disable this button, so we exercise caution to avoid it.​ Light & Alarm Settings: By default, these settings activate a light on the camera during nighttime viewing. There's an alternative night vision mode that doesn't use this light. It's crucial to set night vision as the default. Otherwise a light comes on when viewing at night. This is something I would have never thought to check. I did it accidently. If you have birds nesting and that light comes one they are likely to fly way and never return.

This birdhouse is amazing! My family has thoroughly enjoyed watching the process of these blue birds building a nest, laying 5 eggs, and now we're at the stage of raising the babies. It's quite the experience! Highly recommend

Lovely little bird house,very nice sturdy quality. It did take a bit to set up but i worked it out in the end. I like that there is plenty of space inside for the birds and a nice big opening for the birds to enter and exit. It has a built-in SD card and can record videos and store them. You can also set alerts to your phone and see the birds in action live from your phone. It has a large storage capacity and the picture quality is very good. Brilliant for a bird enthusiast or for children to watch the wildlife.

So far so good it was damaged on arrival but I made a repair and it works well

Bought this as a gift. Didn’t realise if you want to see a video instead of a still shot you need to subscribe. Bit disappointed as never had to do this with others in the past.

Poor quality and pieces broken. Bought for my grandchildren so a disappointment.
