They work but BEWARE of the defective locking mechanism if you have children nearby.
I was immediately interested in these dog nail clippers when I saw the angled head on them. They were an Amazon Deal of the Day so I thought I'd give them a try. Right off, I will say the trimmers do what they're supposed to do: trim dog nails. However, I actually didn't care for the angled head at all. All it made me do was twist my wrist in funny position to accommodate the angle. Perhaps there's a learning curve and I’ll get used to them (?).I noticed several reviewers have remarked on the faulty locking clip. We, too, had a problem with it. The very first squeeze of the handles resulted in the little locking piece disengaging from the clippers, flying 8 feet across the deck, and smacking my unsuspecting 75-year-old mother in the face. It startled her and made her squeal rather than hurting her (she thought it was a bee) and we all got a good chuckle out of it, but the potential to harm really is possible. I would especially make sure younger children or toddlers aren't nearby until you know whether or not the locking mechanism is going to stay in place or not.I also noticed several reviewers commented that their trimmers didn’t have the guard on it (which they liked). I don’t like those guards either, but the pair I received DID have the guard on it. They’re not hard to remove, but if you’re expecting to receive a pair without a guard, you may be disappointed.Honestly, I don’t think these clippers any better than any other pair I’ve tried. They don’t seem any sharper, the handles aren’t any more comfy or better, and as I’ve already mentioned I don’t really care for the angle. Wish I could give them 3-1/2 stars because of the potentially harmful flying locking mechanism. However, I’m going to give 4 stars because they do function as they’re supposed to plus 15% of the profits are donated to an an animal rescue group.

I'm no longer worried about doing the trimming myself using this tool.
We usually would take Heidi, a small Dachshund and Chihuahua mix (Chiweenie) to a pet groomer to get her nails trimmed every 5 to 6 weeks, they grow fast. I have been thinking of doing the trimming myself for a long time, but was worried I might cut to short and hurting her. When I saw this trimmer package deal I decided to purchase it. I feel it was a good decision, the package arrived 2 days later on time. The the Tremor was charged in preparation for use the next day. When it came time to do the trimming I placed a towel on a table, play tidy on the towel and let her relax a bit well sniffing the trimmer grinding tool, and getting used to the sound. I first clipped Nails to a good length, and then started with the grindingtool, at first she flinched, I think it tickled, but she got used to it and the job was done and she seems happy with it. I might add, it was also a plus to see her looking at me with pleasure and enjoying, the after clipping body massageshe got while holding the turn on tool in my hand as a vibrator massager.

Your cat wants you to get this
Okay, I was afraid of trimming the nails of our two new kittens, and afraid I would hurt them, but we also don't like having our furniture torn to shreds, so they convinced us to give this a try (in the same way as our neighbor convinced us that we really did want a fence after all). Worked like a charm. Only took me a few minutes to get the front claws ground down to "tolerable" and "can't climb up the curtains any more" length, from "piercing" and/or "painful when climbing up your leg" length. Virtually no noise, so quick that the nails didn't heat up, and I was able to leave a comfortable length so as not to hurt the cats. No more pointed remarks from them. After the first minute, they put up with it, kind of like they do when we put hats on them for Halloween or Christmas. The USB charger is also fast and easy. Bonus - they donate a small amount to no-kill shelters, no idea how much (could be three cents), but still a nice gesture. I haven't tried any other brands so I can't compare, but I see no reason to look at any other.Update after a couple of months – the kittens grow claws so fast that we can't keep up with them, so we had to buy an actual clipper, even though the grinder still works as expected.

Keep dog nails short
I’m afraid to use the product.

These are cheap, not "Professional Quality"
All right. I bought all three of these nail clippers. I got them yesterday, and I took them to work today (dog groomer). The first thing I noticed upon holding them was that they felt cheap. The handles are thin (which, btw, results in the edges digging uncomfortably into your hand when you close them) and light, and I just didn't have a good feeling. Once I started clipping, that feeling just got worse. The blades were decently sharp, but the clippers just weren't sturdy at all. I was thinking I wouldn't be surprised if they just broke, when the little black latch that holds them together just popped right off. The product description says "Parts will not loose or fall apart, making this a top quality professional dog nail clippers." This is not true.I don't feel like these are trustworthy clippers, and I'm going to have to buy at least a pair of large clippers elsewhere (I usually use Safari brand and may just return to those). The small/medium ones are borderline useless except maybe toy-sized dogs, cats, and small pets. For anything bigger than a Yorkie or Maltese, I'd probably use the large clippers (even though I should be able to use sm/md clippers for most dogs up to 50ish lbs), BUT I don't feel I can use even the "Large" clippers on a large dog, or one with thick nails. I'm pretty sure they'd break (not just popping the latch, either). It's a shame. I like that the company donates part of its profits to animal rescue, and I actually really like the angle they're set at. And maybe they're ok if you're using them for your pet dog and ordered a "size up." But as a profesional of 13+ years, I do not consider these to be professional products at all. This review is for the dog nail clippers; I haven't used the cat clippers but don't foresee an issue with them.

Nail grinder and clipper set
Two cats, both hate the grinder and we're not able to use it on them. Clippers work okay but fall apart.

Charging light doesn't work
Bought this about a month ago. Not a bad little grinder, however, the charging light never did work and still doesn't...which makes it hard to know when it's fully charged. Hopefully it does charge....still testing it out.
