artscape Magnolia Window Film 24" x 36"

We have the very narrow and very old door from our mudroom to our pantry in our old Victorian farmhouse. Unfortunately the glass is glazed a bit unevenly where the wood of the door has been abused over the years, so its not a perfectly straight line there. That made fitting the vinyl a bit trickier along the bottom, but I just put the rest in place and then dress an ultrafine point sharpie across the film to mark and score the where the glaze was. It worked pretty well. A basic plastic bread bowl scraper worked to remove the bubbles. It does allow a decent amount of light in, though this pattern is a bit darker than most. More than anything I needed to block the view of a certain 5 month old German Shepherd puppy who likes to jump up and peer thru the glass when we go into the mudroom for her kibble. As she gets bigger, I guarantee she will punch thru that glass if we don't block her view. She already tore down several iterations of curtains, so here's hoping this works. 🤞 The decal definitely adds privacy to the door, maybe too much. I can't decide. The only one's looking thru that particular glass are our chickens from the coop, and I rather liked being able to glance out and see if there were predators out there. So we really only needed to block the bottom half. In other words, this might be too much privacy for me, but its easy enough to remove when puppy training is done. In the meantime, its quite beautiful, not cheap looking at all, and easy to apply and remove, so I have no complaints. My only other concern is whether it will stay put when the weather turns cold. The mudroom is unheated, so it freezes each winter. Will the film stay put with one side warm and one cold? Stay tuned for that answer. 😉

I ordered this film to cover a clear window in my front door which I didn't care for. The negative reviews and high return rate gave me pause, but after reading the negative review it became apparent that people seemed to be basing their criticism on the fact that they were evidently expecting a longer roll than what they received, which is frankly on them, as the listing description accurately state the size of the product. As to the product itself, it is nice and thick, seems to be excellent quality, and was easy to work with in terms of trimming, removing the backing, and installing on the glass. It also includes instructions that are easy to understand for anyone who has never worked with this sort of material before. As you can see in my before and after photos, this product made a big difference in how my front door looks. We love it and I highly recommend it, especially for the great price.

This is very good quality, and very beautiful window film! I purchased a metal yard stick and a thick 2'x3' posterboard that has an inner styrofoam core(to use as a cutting surface so we didn't damage our kitchen counters or floors), as well as a utility knife for this project. Word of advice: measure twice, cut once. Once we got the hang of cutting everything to spec, it was easy to hang. Just follow the instructions with the soapy water spray, and the squeegee worked really well for me. I bordered mine on the top and bottom with Artscape 'Texture Twelve Window Film 24-by-36-Inch'. The window area I was trying to cover was 53''(63" minus the 10" at the bottom uncovered by film, so my stumpy doggies could still see outside), and I didn't want to try to line everything up to stack two of these 36'' long films one above the other. The clear film matches the clear textured portion of the film nicely. I also bought 'Plaid:Craft Gallery Glass Instant Lead Lines, 12", Black 1/8" Thick, 24/Packaging', and cut them apart on my styrofoam posterboard with my utility knife. A word to the wise, it takes a while for the film to dry. Even though I was thorough with the squeegee and went back over it many times with a paper towel, I will have to wait at least overnight to finish applying the adhesive lead lines, because they would catch the film and pull the edges up slightly, which drew out more soapy water from underneath the film, and kept the adhesive from sticking to the window, so I had to throw some of the lead lines away. Pros: This film is beautiful, and gives our living room character. It makes the room look cleaner and less cluttered, because we were able to get rid of our mini-blinds (which just ended up breaking, because they were on a DOOR and kept smashing against the knob). They also do a great job of obscuring the inside of our apartment from onlookers. Looking in from outside at night, it gives the impression of being warm, colorful, and welcoming, while also remaining very discreet. Cons: We live on a ground floor apartment, and the headlights and brake lights of the vehicles that pass our apartment are much more noticeable now than they were before. I will post pictures in a few days after I get all my lead lines up.

Firstly, this is gorgeous and I love it! Secondly, the thickness is perfect, and it's a super simple installation with perfect stickiness (it's not actually sticky at all; it CLINGS to the window when you wet the window properly). Thirdly, this is 100% private (love this because my dogs can't see outside and cannot see the houses/dogs across the street! Sun protection is great, and when the sun is shining, the panels allow plenty of light through. So based on these things, I would recommend this product. If you have windows you want to cover that are LESS THAN 36" in HEIGHT, this is perfect for you. *****MEASURE your project according to HEIGHT so that you purchase enough***** *******I wish these were available in LONGER lengths like the ones you can find from other companies********

Loved this product. I got the Savannah style. It was easy to cut and easy to apply. Even if you’re a little slanted it’s easy to readjust. It looks very stylish and definitely elevates my upper living room windows and defuses the sunlight.

This surpassed my expectations! I had to use two pieces for an awkward sized window above our front door. I wanted to replace window film that was too translucent. It is beautiful! I was able to line it up so you can't tell it's two pieces. It is more opaque and colorful. It really has the subtle shades of a sunset. The petals are this soft pale pink. It changes with the light. My husband likes it too. It really cut down the glare in our living room. I can't stop looking at it, it's really pretty. My husband is amused at how much I love it!

Beautiful! Looks real, easy to apply. Applied the film 7 months ago. No problems and still looking great in my Victorian home

I came here looking for window film for a new project and realized that I bought this same window film in 2016 when we bought our house. I installed it on a glass door on the west side of the house - one that gets the full afternoon sun blast. After ten years it still looks like new! I am seriously impressed with how well it has held up for so long! We wash this window, it gets full sun for six hours a day and lots of traffic - the window film is not faded, not peeling, and looks as amazing as it did on day one. Which is much more than I can say for a few of the cheap off-brand ones I have tried from Amazon! This is a more expensive window film and not as many bright colors and designs, but for sheer durability and value it's worth it in my opinion. Ten years. Wow.

Looks like real stain glass. Love the bamboo design. It is quite modern which we wanted as we have just built the house. We had a view on one window which we didn’t like and while we wait for screening trees to go tall enough this window film is the perfect solution. It allows in the light and gives a beautiful interesting feature to the first floor hall landing. Our window is huge so I had to link several pieces. They line up easily and if I can do it, anyone can! This design was slightly more expensive than others by artscape but is much more in keeping with our property and think it’s worth it.

Il disegno è proprio molto bello. Io ho rivestito un plexiglass e non un vetro. Devo dire che non è proprio felice di starci attaccato. Il vetro sarebbe stato perfetto mentre sul plexiglass ogni tanto bisogna schiacciare gli angoli.

The product is a nice thick quality film. It's simply applied, by mixing some dishwashing detergent with water, in a plant sprayer, then giving the glass a good soaking (light spaying will not do the job). IMPORTANT: Take care to cut the film to the correct size and ensure you cut it on a SOLID surface, otherwise cutting could be difficult. Ensure you squeegee out, all the water and any bubbles, after positioning the film, using the supplied tool. I fitted some Dimmable LED strips to my cabinet, to back-illuminate the film, if you look at the pictures, you can see how effective that is. Just don't rush the installation and you'll be very happy with the results.
