Great support for my cat’s daily wellness
I’m really happy with the VetriScience Lysine Powder for Cats. It’s easy to mix into my cat’s food, and she doesn’t seem to mind the chicken & cheese flavor at all—which is a big win. I like how simple it is to add into our daily routine, especially for supporting overall wellness. The powder blends well and doesn’t leave a mess, and the container is easy to use. After using it, I feel more confident that I’m supporting my cat’s everyday health in a simple, stress-free way. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it to other cat owners looking for an easy supplement to add to their routine.

helping with my kitten's eye herpes
I have five cats and at least three of them have eye herpes. One of them is a 10.5-month-old rescued kitten I got last month. I am fairly certain he had eye herpes before I brought him home, but at any rate, there is a bit of kitty stress in my household right now as he integrates himself, so one of my other eye herpes cats may have been shedding the virus and infected him. Thankfully, he does not have ulcers, but he has clear eye discharge and sometimes sneezes. So I asked my vet about lysine options. Please note: this has chicken-based flavoring in it so it will not work for cats with chicken allergies and/or inflammatory bowel disease. (If you have a cat like that, your best bet is buying lysine tablets for humans and crushing them, then suspending them in liquid, drawing up in a syringe, and administering that way. Human lysine tablets are a bit too big for a cat to swallow.) If your cat is able to have most treats and such, these chews are a far better (as in, more pleasant for the cat and easier to administer) option. Anyway, the herpes virus requires a lot of the amino acid arginine (which has a long carbon side chain and a positively-charged nitrogen-containing group on the end) for replication. Giving lysine (which also has a long carbon side chain and a different positively-charged nitrogen-containing group on the end) in large amounts means lysine is taken up more by the cell machinery producing viral proteins. Only, when lysine is incorporated into viral proteins in place of arginine, the proteins don't fold properly and don't function as well (or at all). (This is true for human herpesviruses as well, so if you tend to get cold sores, take lysine tablets. It is an amino acid that you would need anyway. Just follow dosing instructions on the bottle.) So, in order to get my kitten's eye herpes under control before he starts scratching at his eyes or something, I am giving him this. He's been on it for a few days and it seems to be helping. He has less eye discharge and I haven't heard the sneezing for awhile. He's also not scratching at his eyes. He's still skittish so I just throw a treat or two on the floor in the morning before feeding him. I do this when he's hungry so I know he will eat these. He likes them and doesn't have much trouble chewing/eating them. (They're what I would call "semi-moist." They don't have a strong smell.) These are not causing my kitten any digestive upsets, which of course I'm very happy about. The bag is resealable to preserve freshness. If your cat is walking around with one eye closed or you see the third eyelid covering a large portion of the eye, there is probably an ulcer. You will need to take your cat to the vet and get a fluorescein stain and some antibiotic drops or ointment. This product will not cure ulcers. (I've seen the extremes of cat eyes damaged by eye herpes and you do not want to go there. It is expensive and requires many trips to the veterinary ophthalmologist.) Ulcers must be treated quickly and appropriately. But if your cat just has some discharge and sneezing and you have reason to believe s/he has eye herpes, these treats can help. Anyway, I'm very happy that these are working. Nice to know I can get them from Amazon if my cats have issues in the future.

My cats love these
I have had my cats on these for years now, I’ve lost count of the amount of packages that I’ve purchased. This is the only brand that I will buy because it’s the only brand that my cats will eat. I have to cut them in thirds for my cats or they are too tough to chew and they won’t touch them. I cut the tail off and then the main part in half, perfect size for them. Once I do that they get excited for their treats. I got one of my cats when she was 10 weeks old and noticed that she was sick right away. The vet explained that she had a cold caused by the feline herpes virus. She’s twelve now and if she doesn’t get the chews then she’ll have a cold within days. A couple of years later, I adopted a two and a half year old male cat that also has feline herpes. Without these chews his eyes get junky and he gets the cold symptoms just as quickly. They both know when it’s treat time and will sit in front of the counter and meow until I look at the clock. I recommend these to anyone that has a cat with feline herpes. If your cats won’t eat them, try cutting them in half, it might help; did with mine.

Supports Immunity & Reduces Sneezing – Cats Love It 🐱
I’ve been giving my cat this Lysine powder for a few weeks, and it’s been great! She actually enjoys the chicken and cheese flavor, which makes it really easy to give her the supplement daily. I’ve noticed her sneezing less and her eyes and nose seem clearer, which is such a relief. The powder mixes well with her food, and the capsules are convenient for travel or when needed. It feels high-quality and safe, and the 60-count supply lasts a good while, making it worth the price. Overall, it’s a simple, effective way to support my cat’s immunity and help with allergy symptoms, and I’d definitely recommend it to other cat owners.

My cat loved it!
I’ve been using the VetriScience Lysine Powder for my cat for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with the results. My cat used to have occasional sneezing and watery eyes, especially during seasonal changes, and this supplement has made a noticeable difference. What I love most is how easy it is to use, just mix it into food and it blends in well. The chicken and cheese flavor must be appealing because my cat eats it without hesitation (which is a big win since he can be picky). I’ve noticed his overall comfort has improved, with less nasal congestion and fewer allergy-like symptoms. It also gives me peace of mind knowing I’m supporting his immune health in a simple, stress-free way. Definitely recommend this for any cat owner dealing with mild respiratory or allergy issues. It’s been a great addition to our routine!

Easy Immune Support That Cats Actually Eat
These chews have become a staple in my cat’s daily routine. Packed with lysine and DMG, they help support immune health, especially for cats prone to sneezing or watery eyes. I’ve seen noticeable improvements in less than a week — more energy, fewer symptoms, and an overall healthier vibe. The best part? My cat actually eats them like treats. No hiding pills, no mess. They’re soft, easy to chew, and small enough for even picky eaters. I’ve used them during seasonal changes, stressful events, and even just as daily maintenance. Pros: Supports immune system and respiratory health Cats love the taste — easy to give Soft texture, no crumbling or powder mess Effective for both kittens and adult cats No artificial colors or preservatives Cons: Needs consistent use for best results Some cats may be suspicious at first (but most warm up quickly) Bottom Line: This is one of the few supplements that actually works and doesn’t feel like a battle to give. If your cat deals with eye discharge, sneezing, or just needs an immune boost, this is a game changer.

Formula Changed. My Cat Hates It Now
I have been feeding this to my cat for the last 10 years. I give it to him occasionally so a large bag lasts me a long time. Checking back in my order history I last ordered this in April 2022. I just ordered it again in February 2024 and the formula has definitely changed since my last order. As soon as I opened the bag I could tell a difference. Previously the chews were darker in color, more dense, there was a consistent shape to them, and there was a definite smell to them that I thought was close to fishy. This latest batch I received was lighter in color, inconsistently shaped, softer, and there wasn't much of a smell and the smell it did have smelled like peanut butter to me. I already knew what was going to happen but since I paid for the large bag I threw a chew down to the ground expecting my cat to pounce on it like he usually does. He pounced on it alright but then did like a double-take and sniffed it and then said heck no and walked away. I then picked up the chew and tossed it across the floor which is usually enough to get him to chase and then eat a treat. He did start to each the chew this time but then spit it back out after only chewing it a few times. That was all I needed to know and it would be a waste of time for me to try any further with this. I have regulated this bag to the stray cat I feed so hopefully he will eat it. I am sad because this is yet another instance a manufacturer changes a formula and now my cat hates the product. Now I need to try to find a replacement which is not easy with stubborn cats. As I am sure a lot of people are familiar with, this is going to be an expensive trial-and-error process until I find a replacement product.

Great cat product!
Great supplement to add for our cat that goes indoors and outdoors. Extra protection! She didn't seem to mind at all when I added this mixed into her food. Chicken & cheese flavor enhanced her food & is easy to add! Def. recommend to other cat owners.
