Copper Plating
Overall quality is quite good, instructions are very good. Prior modeling experience is a must as ship is very detailed. Do not waste time using the copper tape for hull plating. It is too thin to produce a good appearance, it is more like copper leaf than a copper plate. The castings are not the best (port and starboard quarter badges do not match and the transom decorations are not symmetrical), but with a little clean-up and paint they will pass inspection by the untrained eye. Finest instructions ever. Been building ships for over sixty yesrs and nothing can compare with the full color step by step book in this one.
