Doubleshot PBT 104-Key Cherry MX Keycap Set - Black/Slate

Upon installing them, it was quickly obvious that these PBT keycaps have a more pronounced texture compared to ABS ones. A slightly different resonance to the sound of the click, too. I'm not dead certain, but I think these may be just slightly shorter than the stock keycaps that came with my Rosewill keyboard.This pack does contain a red Esc key alternative to the standard black one. I happen to love this, feeling it lends a classic flair to the look.Replacing the keycaps was pretty standard fare: You'll get hung up when dealing with the larger keys. The biggest issue was simply the inevitable tedium of replacing 104 keys. LOL!

I bought these as a gift for my girlfriend who has shined her Das Keyboard ABS caps to a near mirror finish. Sadly, I had to return these keycaps but not because of quality or workmanship. They are top notch and I highly recommend. She just feels at home with her worn out keys and the new keys slowed her down. Oh Well.I like the legends on these keycaps. Some doubleshots look like they are stenciled or use some ugly font. There are no bridges to the islands inside letters like O, P, D etc. The font is simple and even across all the keys.If you do want to get this to replace the keycaps on a Das Keyboard, know that it may use Costar stabilizers. Costars are different than MX style, you need inserts in the keycaps for Costar. I do not recommend trying to pull the inserts out of the existing keys. I hear it can be done with steady firm pressure, but you really run a chance of breaking one or two not matter how careful. You can buy the inserts for less than $5 on many websites and they will fit perfect in this set. I think you only need 10pcs in total for the 5 stabilized keys. 2 each for the Backspace, Enter, Right & Left Shift and the space bar. But that is more about the Das Keyboard and not really this keyset so don't hold it against this set. They will work great on regular MX stems and stabilizers.

Quality product - but not cheap.

Ordered 2 set of these to replace the lousy ABS caps on 2 Das Keyboard Model S Professionals (my own and my father's), and they work great! The only problem is not with the caps, but the boards. They don't use a standard bottom row, so I couldn't change the spacebar, Windows keys, FN keys, or menu keys because of this. It's not a big deal, though, since the caps are nice. They are thin PBT doubleshots, and while I would have preferred thick, these caps still work great. It's a bit of a shame that they are likely being discontinued, though.UPDATE: These are actually re-branded Tai Hao PBT doubleshots, so this means that they have the antibiosis coating that many have complained about. This coating can be removed with rubbing alcohol, however, so it's not a big deal to me. Removing the coating makes these keycaps feel just about as good as any other similar-thickness PBT caps, so I'd recommend trying that if you're dissatisfied with the feel.

I can confirm that these keycaps are compatible with the das professional 4 keyboard.Just make sure you purchase Cherry MX Keycap Stabilizer Inserts. if you try to remove them from the das 4 keyboard original caps; there's a good chance of either break or you'll damage keyboard.You're going to need at least 10 or so couple for backup and just to have some around if you ever want to change again.

These keys are excellent. PBT doubleshot keycaps are among the most highest end types of keycaps you can get. On a personal note I love how these keycap font size, face, and offset are practically identical to that of Rosewill keyboards.

Otherwise immaculate! Wonderful to the touch, no ugly scratches or dents from manufacturing. I daresay it's worth the high price.
