This is one of those items that's super simple yet almost impossible to find in a hurry. Back in the days when we rode dinosaurs to school, we would run out to Radio Shack to buy one of these if we needed it. But there hasn't been a Radio Shack (or pretty much any other electronics store) anywhere near me in a decade. Heck, even 3.5mm audio plugs are a rarity these days with the advent of Bluetooth headsets. But my tablet, desktop, laptop, MP3 player, etc. all still use 3.5mm hard-wired audio jacks, and every once in a great while I want to share the audio output with someone. This solves that problem. The quality is good, certainly good enough for any use that I'll give it. The jacks claim to be gold plated and the wires oxygen-free copper. Are they? No idea. But they look fine, they work fine, and they're certainly higher in quality than a couple I've bodged together from spare parts in the past. Those were UGLY. For less than $7 I have a solution that I won't use every day, but that will be there when I need it. One less thing to worry about.

I like to frequently switch headphones on my computer, but with a single jack this means the pc audio output auto-switches to speakers briefly when swapping headphones - which annoyed me. This solves that problem - I can now plug in my swap headphones or earphones on one of the two outputs of the UGREEN splitter, switch to the new headphones/earphones and then unplug the old output or leave it plugged in, without any interruption in the audio or loud bursts from speakers. Audio also plays continuously on both outputs, so it works well for two users listening to headphones and has less downtime during headphone swaps.

This is an excellent product and it works exactly as expected. The quality is good and it delivers great performance. I purchased it and was very satisfied with how well it functions. However, I didn’t end up using it very much because shortly after I decided to switch to USB headphones, which fit better with my current needs. That being said, I still think it’s a very reliable option and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something like this.

I purchased this 3.5mm double adapter to connect two computers to a single soundbar in my office. For the first two years, it worked perfectly and solved my audio switching needs. The sound quality was clear and there was no noticeable degradation in audio quality from using the splitter. After about 2 years of regular use and cable movement, the connection has become finicky, resulting in sound quality distortion. I had been looking for a Y Splitter Audio Cable for a while and a friend of mine told my that Ugreen was a good brand so I took a chance and ordered this one. I bought two of these splitters about eight months ago and they are both still working just great. In fact, this was one of the best purchases I made in 2015! There is no degradation of sound quality and the cables and plugs are high quality. I purchased this for my boyfriend and I to use in the car and when traveling on a plane. Often when we are in the car, we need to make conference calls and the sound quality of this cable can't be beat. In the past, we would always either make conference calls with the speakerphone on our phones or we would use bluetooth audio in the car. Anyone who has done this knows that it can be really hard to hear a phone call when everyone is on speakerphone and especially through car stereo speakers. With the Y Splitter, we just plug our headsets in and conference calls in the car are now crystal clear! My boyfriend and I also travel a lot and on the plane, we plug our headsets into the Y Splitter to listen to music together. We both have Bose headsets and have not experienced any sound degradation using this splitter cable. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. It's one of those little things that doesn't cost very much but it has made my life easier. I highly recommend!

This is a good cable for the price. UGreen products tend to be better quality that most other brands from China and that's true with this cable (for the most part). The aluminum terminals are more durable than PVC or other plastics, and the insulation is rubbery and soft. The female aluminum terminals have a satisfying click when plugging in and hold firmly. While they used premium material for the outer insulation it's very thin and might be prone to premature failures at stress points, but only time will tell (mine sits behind speakers so it never gets repetitively bent around). They lack strain relief where the cables meets the terminals, but if that becomes a issue it can be solved with the spring from free/cheap clicky pens and/or some small gauge heat shrink tube. They really should have added some strain relief since they used such thin insulation and this bugs me even though I haven't had a problem yet. The center bit that keeps the cables together is a nice strong chunk of thermoplastic with a happy face. This is good. Sound quality is very good which is the most important thing. There is no MIC line so this is strictly for splitting a aux cable. Depending on your source and what your driving you'll likely need to increase the volume or add amplification when splitting the signal between two separate headphones (ear buds or active speakers are no problem). TLDR; it works well. It's made from good quality materials but the insulation is too thin and it lacks strain relief. A fair deal for $10 or less. More $$ will buy you a better cable if you're anal about those things.
