Great disposable camera
Great camera for specific uses for my YouTube channel. I place these in precarious spots and if they get damaged, they are not expensive. They produce great video, audio, not so much, but my main use is the video shots.

Exactly what I was looking for
I bought this action cam a little over a week ago and have used it pretty much on a daily basis, both as a car dash cam and also for recording my team's matches (I coach volleyball). Before I usually buy anything, I try to do a good amount of research on the product I'm interested in as well as read a ton of reviews from people who have already purchased and used the item. I find that they're really helpful in finding the ins and outs of the product. Scratching my head over some of the not so favorable reviews on this particular action camera. I feel like this was a great purchase in that it does exactly what the description states. The quality of picture from the Vision 3 is excellent. As a dash cam, I've used it on most of my drives and even reviewed much of the footage it recorded. I think the picture quality is great. The recording is smooth. I even used it during a night drive. It was raining and pretty dark but the camera still managed to pick up a decent amount of details under the conditions. In regular day time when there is natural light outside, it's very very clear. As for night driving, I have found that when the roads are well lit (lamp posts, street lights, and even all the lights from other car headlights on the freeway), the camera is able to record very discernable images. The footage is absolutely "useable". As a camera for recording sports, it's perfect for what I need. It comes with a number of different mounts, including both an open and also a waterproof case (I pretty much use the waterproof case for everything at this point). The water proof case feels very sturdy and seems to offer a lot of protection not only from water but from perhaps scratches to the camera and its lense. When the camera is in the case, it does not pick up ambient noise very well. The camera doesn't pick up sound very well in general, but I knew this would be the case after reading several reviews and I didn't purchase it for the sound quality. It has different recording quality settings. I have used to 1080p at 30 fps (trying to save battery life and space on the card) and the picture quality is great. As I said, I coach volleyball, so the ball can travel at pretty high speeds. No problem for the camera to pick up the speed clearly and smoothly. As I mentioned earlier, I read a lot of reviews on items I'm thinking about buying. I read a small handful of bad reviews on this camera and I'm kind of scratching my head over them. I read some reviews complaining about picture quality or that the footage is "bumpy" because it doesn't have image stabilization. Really?? I've watched a lot of footage from the camera as my dash cam (the camera has "Drive mode" so it can be used specifically as an alternative to cameras that are solely dash cams) and I have found them to be very clear, stable, and smooth. Kind of have to ask,"What are the bad reviewers looking for exactly when they complain about the image quality??" Some people give bad reviews based on sound quality. Are they expecting movie theater RPX level sound quality from this tiny little unit?? I feel like you get a great little unit out of this Vision 3. In fact, you don't just get what you pay for (which is relatively not much at all), I really feel like you get more than what you pay for from the price point. It comes with a lot of bells and whistles - great protective/waterproof case, various mounts, 2 batteries, and a remote control (really great, btw). I only wish it also came with a protective carrying case with the purchase, but no worries because I found one for about $9 here on Amazon! I didn't want to pay $200+ for a "main" brand action camera and I feel like I got pretty close quality from this Dragon Touch. Ultimately, I guess it all just depends on what you're looking for (as with anything else we buy), but I found exactly what I wanted out of this camera and I'm really happy I bought it.

Wish I had known this before ordering...
I purchased this for a day trip to sea world with the hopes of getting some fun underwater pics and video of our child and friend. It worked well for the intended purpose, but there are a few "fine" points that I wish I had known before I ordered it. I hope this helps someone. I wanted an action cam with a Sony sensor, 16mp photos at minimum, and 4K/30. Here's what I found out... 1) the 4K bitrate is only around 10Mbps. Thats really low. It means that the 4K video will be blocky and lower-than-usuable quality. I also noticed frame skipping, so the 4K footage was mostly garbage. Keep in mind, a higher bit rate means that more information can be recorded per second. A GoPro Hero 5, for example, records 4K at 60Mbps. That's 6x more information per second. It makes a huge difference. 2) the bitrate for 2.7K goes UP to 20Mbps. I don't understand why, but it looks much better. The video is smooth with no noticeable dropped frames. Basically, this is the highest setting that you would want to use. 3) the bitrate for all 1080 and 720 combinations stayed at 20Mbps. For 1080, this is perfectly good for the average person. The audio is always 8K mono AAC (as are many action cams). I also purchased a JinSun camera on Prime Day so that I could compare. Im not about to try to sift through every action cam on Amazon, but I'd really like a higher bitrate recording than the Dragon Touch produced, especially at 2.7K (20Mbps 2.7K shows some artifactwing in faster action sequences). I prefer to shoot at 4K (I shoot Panasonic equipment professionally), but 2.7K is fine for my family stuff. Interestingly, the JinSun 4K/30 cam yielded an 18Mbps 4K (still low) and 2.7K-720p yield a 26Mbps file with 8K mono AAC audio. It does have a noticeably better picture quality. I contacted Dragon Touch about a firmware update to address the low bitrate and really didn't get much help. Interestingly, the emails came back from Akaso tech support, so I suppose this is just a rebranded Akaso. So, I'll keep the Dragon Touch for my 9yr old and the JinSun for myself. It's on par with other cams in this price range and at the asking price, a good value. For the asking price, I feel like the Dragon Touch is a little lacking and I'd look at the JinSun (on sale), instead. Both use the DVX app and have very similar features at similar prices. For the same money, I'll take the JinSun.
