Very well engineered!
This product is VERY well designed, and installed very easily the first time. It fit PERFECTLY in my cabinet, and although the instructions were mostly illustrations, by studying the diagrams carefully I was able to install it the right way, the first time. It glides SO smoothly, and it has a nice "soft close" piston which is quite cleverly designed. Sturdy construction. Cans are easy to remove, and a tall kitchen bag makes these easy to change out. We use one can for the trash and the other for general recyclables. A+. Would definitely buy again. Great design, great quality. We need more products like this. One caveat: if your cabinet box has a "lip" and the front edge, do not over-tighten the middle screws for the tracks--if you do it will slightly flex the rails and they won't glide as smoothly. Also, you DO NOT need the kit to mount your cabinet door to this device--I wrongly ordered a kit but it wasn't needed.

Very Well-Made, Worth the Price
I love this even though It cost more than some others. It's worth it. The slides are aluminum, with really smooth bearings and soft-close devices. The upper part is easily disconnected from the tracks, just by twisting four toggles, which not only simplifies installation, but allows easy access into the cabinet later on for cleaning, checking pipes, etc.I replaced an older chrome-plated steel one with this. The old one always dropping rust particles from the steel tracks and brackets underneath. This one is so much nicer.

Sturdy, well made and works well. Comic book instructions sucked.
Nice but the directions sucked. After you figure out how to do it, it is well made and the basket removes for cleaning.Install was easy except my cabinet had a 1/4 lip.I notched the 1/4 in lip where the rails are and it works nice.I think the term cheese saw is what I used. I finished with a hack saw blade.Make several cuts with cheese saw within the notch for the rail. The wood pops out and sanded with the hacksaw blade. This was installed in a 15" cabinet. If you are handy you will figure it out.

Finally a product that's sturdy and works beautifully!
I replaced my older slide-out trash drawer holder because it was poorly built and finally snapped in two. It was also a Rev-A-Shelf product, but the newer designs are so much sturdier. Solidly built, good design, and works very smoothly. The "soft close" feature is a real class addition of my new model. Make sure you measure the width of your wood door and pay close attention to where the door is thickest. This is where you'll want to screw in your new brackets. I selected to purchase the wider extension brackets and then I realized I really didn't need them. I used them anyhow because I felt it offered more contact screws and a sturdier fit. Highly recommend this unit because of the wider more sturdy bottom slide-out base. I don't recommend the top/mid drawer bracket -- they are not as strong and I don't believe they'll last as long. Good luck with your purchase.

Really nice slides for the pullout feature.
We bought two of these and are very happy with them. The slides and self closing are like silk. They are so easy to use.The trick is getting the door onto the base straight and level. That took quite a while to find a technique that worked. The instructions on how to do it are really not clear, and it does just take a finesse at the end. So if you were to look inside, you would see all our holes at attempting it.Once on straight, they just look perfect and the pull out function is so nice. The trash cans are a perfect kitchen size. We did a side by side install in a 24" cabinet, with one can for paper recycle and one for just garbage. They are quite expensive, but that is what it seems to take to get the nice slides with the self-closing. Most systems for pull out trash bins don't have the self-closing so read the description carefully.

Perfect Replacement Unit
Perfect Replacement Unit. We replaced an earlier version from ten years ago where the Quiet Close feature was giving out. Same manufacturer. It is the most-used drawer in the kitchen and had worked flawlessly for a long time - we were very happy with it. This replacement design is superior and everything went in just right - no dimension changes, better basket to hold the cans, improved Quiet Close design.

Gives our kitchen a cleaner look.
It works really well and does pretty much exactly what we expected (not really sure how you can be surprised by what this does if you ordered it). The only thing that's a little bit of a bummer is that these aren't super big trash cans, so they fill up quickly. That's obviously not the company's problem because they have to be able to fit under the cabinet. It's more for anyone debating whether or not to stick with a regular, free-standing garbage can.The only other thing is that it feels a little pricey for basically 2 trash cans. But again, it works well and we knew the price when we got it so this does everything we had expected.

Quality Product
This Rev-A-Shelf pull out trash is the best size under my sink cabinet. Trash containers are plenty for several days household/kitchen waste for my husband and myself in addition to a good size recycler. I can't comment on installation as my cabinet maker installed it. Value is only slightly downgraded because it is on the pricier side for similar products; however, it is a quality item. Only negative so far is that when the bins get full, i.e., heavy, it tends to slow down the soft closing to the point that you have to give it a slight nudge to close completely. Going to work on trying some adjustments to see if we can improve, but all in all not a huge negative on my part. It fits nicely under my Kraus Workstation single basin sink and leaves me ALOT of room to the other side for cleaning items. LOVE!

Worth it
Product was exactly as described, and it fit very well in my cupboards. Instructions were fairly easy. I love the two large bins, makes for a lot less garbage changes, which is nice.
