Excellent spring clamp and slightly different than US Stainless version
Nice finish- seems like it will do the job. I bought these and the US Stainless version. Both about the same size- The eye seems just a little larger on the Proteus. The spring on the Proteus seems is heavier to open than the US, but this may have nothing to due with longevity. The biggest difference is the Proteus is symmetrical, the US Stainless is not. The US Stainless gate side is very straight and opposite side more curved. In my application the US did not fit as well as the Proteus where tension line was in line with the center of the clamp- in the US the the bed would not let the line be centered with the clamp. Maybe in some applications the US would work better, but I like the Proteus version betterr

Great for the price.
Well made and well worth the price. I personally had to send them back because of the size of the eye. If you have over 1/4" rope these wont work. If you have 1/4" or less these are really nice, i would recommend them...

Nice heavy duty clips with an eye for use on key rings & chain belts.
Great for my home made chain belts, for heavy duty lanyards.
