Bosch Professional 12V System GWS 12V-76 cordless angle grinder (three cutting discs, disc diameter: 76 mm, without battery/charger)

This is a GREAT little tool with lots of power and great handling. That said, here’s some info I didn’t have before buying it. First: The spindle diameter of this tool is 9.94mm BUT the spindle diameter of Bosch wheels sold in the US is 9.5mm. I have both and have measured them. You CANNOT USE US MARKET WHEELS on this grinder. Thankfully, the Chinese wheels I have fit this version! [UPDATE: A carefully applied tapered reamer expanded the hole on the US wheels so I can use them on this machine. Do so at your own risk, though, as you could crack a wheel. The advice to run new wheels for a minute with no load is even more applicable if one does enlarge the hole.] Second: This is a MUCH more ergonomic tool than the US version, model GWS12V-30N-RT. The US version has the switch on the bottom, and it’s a PITA to use, but it does have the same locking feature as this model. The top switch is easier to use. With this tool you get a larger cover for the cutting wheel – a safety enhancement that you can choose to use or to leave off. Personally, I like the fact that more of the cutting wheel is covered, even though it does affect the visibility of the wheel. Fortunately, batteries for US model tools work in this unit. And now, a comment: This is definitely an international version; that opinion is supported by the languages in the accompanying manual. I suspect that if anything were to happen to this tool, Bosch would not honor any service request because it's NOT the OFFICIAL US version. Why in the world does any manufacturer think that tools have to have different specs in the US, and why do those different specs make the tool harder to use and less user friendly? Is it because they want to make more money by locking US users into their tool ecosystem? I love the tool, but I’m losing respect for Bosch!!

This works really really well. I used it to trim horse's hooves, and it is very easy to handle, quiet, and gets the job done.

Works great. Only wish it was reversable.

Excelente herramienta muy versátil

I was pleasently surprised that this has a "dead man switch" (turns off if the hand is removed from the switch) although if pushed all the way up and in that switch can lock in place which would not be considered a dead man switch. So it's both, depending on how you use it. Very nice. Also surprisingly quiet. (Still makes a fair bit of noise on the material of course). Cuts very well but also very limited in depth. Very very thin cut, same as my Bosch rotary "Dremel" tool blades. This is not a tool for careless beginners. Please learn how to use this safely before using it. For one, a proper full face shield is a must in my opinion. But that's not a complete guide.

La herramienta es pequeña y al ser de batería es muy practica para sacar de apuros , la estrena cortando tiratrim de aluminio, el cual lo corta sin problema. Incluye un disco para cortar acero (inox) y uno de carburo (madera, plástico) . La herramienta esta hecha en Alemania , que ya es algo raro.
