RUGPADUSA - Dual Surface - 8'x10' - 1/4" Thick - Felt + Rubber - Non-Slip Backing Rug Pad - Safe for All Floors

I bought this rug pad to go under an area rug in a high traffic part of the house, and it’s been doing exactly what I hoped. Once it was down, the rug stopped sliding around and stayed flat, even with people walking over it all day. The felt is thick enough to add some cushioning without making the rug feel bulky. It actually made the rug feel nicer to walk on and helped a bit with noise too. I also like that it didn’t have any smell when I opened it and didn’t leave marks on the floor. It was easy to cut to size and lay down, and it’s stayed in place since. For something you don’t really think about once it’s installed, it’s been solid and hassle free.

Excellent quality, no smell at all. This is much thicker than the last rug pad I bought from this company, and I'm glad that I chose this thickness - it is much more plush to walk on, dampens sound well, and doesn't slip at all!

This is an excellent rug pad, with rubber on the bottom and felt on the top. However, it absolutely gives off a very sour, off-putting smell. I almost returned it, but after a call to their customer service, who assured me that what is off-gassing is non-toxic, and to "give it a couple of weeks", we decided to keep it, because I didn't think we'd find a better alternative that wouldn't off-gas, and we appreciate that it's a made in the USA product. I will also mention that we purchased a very large rug pad (11x15), which probably contributed to smell lingering longer than expected because we didn't really have room to open it up somewhere else to let it air out before putting the rug and furniture down. As anyone who has ever tried getting a large rug set using one of those flimsy, perforated rubber "pads" knows, it's nearly impossible to align, with lumps and bumps everywhere. This pad rolled out flat, stayed put, and made it ridiculously easy to place out very large rug, with no wrinkles. We put our 12 x 15 Loloi rug down and it was perfect without any adjustments (a first!). This was the 1/8" pad for our thin rug, and it keeps the rug in place, with a bit of cushioning underfoot, but doesn't sit up so high as to create a "curb" or noticeable "bump". I detracted one star, because, it's been two weeks and there is still a bit of a lingering odor (although it's definitely dissipating over time). It would be nice if they would off-gas their pads on-site, before shipping, especially for larger pads, which are very unwieldly/hard to move, and because most people don't have that much unobstructed space to open them up to let them air out before putting them under a rug and furniture (trapping said off-gas).

I feel inclined to write a review because that's how good this non-skid pad is. I bought a Kilim rug on Etsy, and this pad is amazing underneath. It will not budge (wood flooring is underneath). Anyway, this is a great pad!

Very nice pad. Really comfortable. I would recommend it. With the Rubber backing, it stays in place, and doesn't move.

After reading reviews of other rug pads, I decided to opt with a rug pad made in the USA. I didn't have any crazy expectations since it is, well, a rug pad (not that exciting), but I was pleased that the rug pad didn't have any weird smells at all, it rolled out completely flat even after being folded in the shipping box, and it does the job of keeping my wool rug in place on a hardwood floor. Additionally, the rug pad does a noticeable difference at making the rug feel plusher, even though the rug pad is only 1/4" thick. I would buy this brand again for other rug pads even though it was a little more expensive than some of the foreign-made options.

This is a good product. You can tell it's authentic rubber due to the initial smell. At first I thought it had been stored in a food bin but apparently the initial off-gassing is something like a cookout. Hotdogs and ketchup. Very weird and very cool. Went away in a couple of days. Now it's just the normal smell you'd expect from rubber. The fabric is very coarse and the rubber is very grippy. If you're looking to use this for the intended purpose of layering it beneath a rug for non-slip, it will work well. Unfortunately, I had to ding it a star. The proportions were short by an inch. Measurements are important and the margin was wide enough to matter. If it was simply off by a little bit then whatever, but I generally feel anything an inch and up is a problem. (for excess, you can cut it easily with shears) Also, just FYI the fabric isn't as visually clean and uniformly gray as the images would indicate. It is more like a mess of random colors that are generally gray but lots of spots stand out. Not an issue but good to know anyway. Despite a few hiccups, I'd probably buy from them again.

I have purchased from this company twice and was totally satisfied both times. Good quality and still holding up extremely well.

A good product. Be careful of the size though. The ad says 8x10 but we received a 9x12 so instead of sending it back and waiting another week and a half I just cut it to size.
