I acquired this black light for dual purposes. First, I have a 15-year-old male Yorkie-Poo who, in his senior years, experiences bladder urgency and occasional accidents. Although I keep puppy pads available, he doesn’t always hit them. Additionally, I am an avid collector of depression glass and require a blacklight to examine pieces that might be uranium glass—a rare and highly collectible type. This black light is heavy-duty, featuring a lens face approximately 3 inches in diameter. It illuminates a sizable area effectively. Powered by 6 double AA batteries, it provides both brightness and longevity. Even during daylight hours with the room lights off, it performs well, especially when used with the provided glasses. At night in the dark, everything becomes clear— shoes, dog toys, and pet urine spots. Overall, I find this black light to be an excellent value for the money. It works wonderfully and does not disappoint. I highly recommend it.

We have two little yorkies. Niko and Roxi. Our oldest male is house trained and also goes outside. He is very well behaved. Our little girl Roxi is a different story. She is almost two years old and only weights 3 pounds. Little dog, little bladder. We knew that she was dropping and rocking now and then where ever she felt the need. Her being very young and us always having her in training mode, she sometimes misses the mark. She does not go outside as she is just too little. And she is house trained to go on the pee pad. When she doesn't make the pad she drops right where she is. My wife said we should get one of those black light's to see where she is going when she doesn't make the trip to the pad. WOW did we get more then we asked for.... The light is heavy duty and solid to say the least. The lens face is about 3" in diameter. Very large. Takes 6 batteries/double AA. So its very solid and well packaged. That being said its a flashlight that emits a black light. And it is super bright under dark lighting conditions. When we tested it out during the day with lights off it works pretty good but you need to get the light close to the floor. But at night/dark outside and the inside lights off different story. Every think lights up. Tennis shoes, dog toys and more then anything the dreaded dog and cat pee on the carpet and walls. There is no shortage of light that works in the dark. It illuminates everything!!! The big shocker was going into the bathroom with the lights off. You can see where your boys are missing the mark and then some!!! All in all this is a huge value for the money. It works amazingly and will not disappoint. The glasses that came with it, well the jury's out there. I do and don't see the benefit. I put them on during the day and ehh. At night with the lights off I saw better with out the glasses on. Up to you. I hope this helped yawl decide weather to purchase. Works amazing!

I bought this because I watch way too much Forensic Files. No blood spatter issues in my house, but the bathrooms can be frightening. I grew up with five sisters. Living with sons and a husband is an eye opener. The light is bright and really lets you know what needs more cleaning attention. I used it on my carpets and was able to see some spots my pup left that I didn't know about, and also see the ones I had cleaned. I've taken it on vacation and been horrified in some hotels and pleasantly surprised in others. It is useful AND amusing and puts me on the road to forensic detection. Buy it. It's worth it.

This is a super product for detecting fur baby pittles on your floor or carpet. Also great in the bathroom if you have little boys sprinkling all around the toilet. Makes it super easy to see where to clean. I was impressed with the brightness and the charging speed. This product is a good quality build and super functionality. Definitely recommend!

I spent a lot of time researching these products in search of something that will illuminate cat urine. While most articles suggest a Wavelength of "365 - 385nm," I could not find a highly rated item with this criteria. Since this product (100 LEDS UV Flashlight) is highly rated & came with protective eyeglasses, I figured it was worthwhile. I'm glad I bought this product! Even thought the manual says the flashlight is 395 nm, I find it works great on illuminating feline urine accidents on “Disposable” Pee Pads (the light will pick up on more detail than I can see -- such as "spraying patterns" -- which is very helpful). However, to see it on the Fabric Pee Pads, the UV flashlight *only works if I wear the Protective Glasses* (which comes with this product) to see the actual stain. Otherwise the whole pad will glow without distinction. And of course, it is best seen in a dark room. The UV flashlight requires 6 AA Batteries & works great with rechargeable batteries, which will save money in the long run. My cat has ongoing behavioral urination issues for the past 6 years (medical issues have been ruled out) so it can be quite a challenge every day when walking into a room & wondering where that smell is coming from. This UV Black Light Flashlight (100 LED) works well and has made our life a lot less stressful. I tend to be skeptical so I'm glad I can recommend this product for this purpose.

Used it to see if the new cat was spraying in the house. It also hi-lited wall splatters.

Requires too many batteries. After 3 minutes they were draining quickly. Not very powerful. It does work but mostly while wearing glasses. Considering the size of the flashlight it’s very light weight.

Great light with good intensity! I use it to find hunting arrows from either missed practice shots or after taking an animal. The fletching glows bright and is super easy to find. Absolutely recommend it for any bow hunter that doesn’t use illuminated nocks.

As you can see, it was perfect for finding golf balls. anyone who is trying to find a UV light for samw pourpose i wiuld recomend this one. shipping was aslo fast.

Easy to use

Bought this as the cat was spraying and it was difficult to see where. Couldn’t believe how bad it was after using this torch. I can now easily see where I need to clean up. Great piece of equipment, great value for money and so glad I bought it!

Shows up some things but not others. Does not show pet urine in carpet etc, but does show marks on walls. Did not come with the glasses that are shown in the image and in the product description.

I bought this one because it was a bit more expensive and fancier than others but it doesn’t show up spray from my cat. Human pee yes but not cat.
