for Mosquitoes and Gnats, it is Phenomenal.
This thing WORKS GREAT!!! And at an Incredibly Low Price!! Very well designed, at least for my needs. Here in Houston, Mosquitoes are a Real Plague! It might not work well for Flies, but for Mosquitoes and Gnats, it is Phenomenal.PS: My only concern was that you might have to be careful to not touch the outside metal grid...not a problem, it does not do the shocking, just the inside grid. I touched it and nothing happened, then I wet my finger and touched it, still nothing. So then I saw a mosquito biting me on my leg and gently swatted at it, touching my skin, but no shock to me but that was his last meal...roasted mosquito!!!PPSS: Well, I'm a little embarrassed at how much I like this thing, but here goes. I was sitting at my desk, working on the computer when one of those Darn Gnats started buzzing around. Running around the Screen, Flying around my head as if they had no fear. So I picked up this "Electro-Swatter" and took a swipe at him/her, thinking I won't get him cause they are so darned fast and agile. But what do you know, "BZZZ...ZAPPP", that's one Gnat which will never bother me again!!!

Does not work for flyes
Awfull to kill fly. In order to kill an insect it is needed to have a short circuit between 2 metallic nets. The internal net is far from external one and the space between windows are not enough big to let flyes enter and cais short circuit. Conclusion: you hit the flyes but they don’t get kill. Maybe good for mosquitos but for fly is too bad
