Good transmission fluid to use with older Mercedes 4-speed automatic (722.3)
After flushing and draining the fluid in a 1988 Mercedes 300E, I filled it with Chevron MD-3. A recognized Mercedes authority on the West Coast recommended it. This 300E has over 200K miles on the original transmission (722.3 series) and it runs and shifts smoothly. Periodically the car makes a long road trip (500 miles each way). It has been over six months since the fluid change with no problems.

Been working great for my 2001 Buick Regal LS 3800 SII with the OEM 4T65E.Knock on wood, hopefully we keep on gliding with no crunching of gears! ⚙️

Quality ATF!
Its hard to find the old pure Mercon forumla these days. The Ford 4R100 transmission can only use Mercon, it can not use these new multi-vehicle ATFs that many brands are producing without risk of serious damage. This fluid is perfect for use for transmissions, transfer cases and power steering systems in older Ford trucks.

Best stuff for the older sensitive transmissions. Went in my 300k 1990 mercedes transmission, shifts great.
