Easy to install for shower niche. Made from durable plastic. Easy to apply tile to.

I had a contractor install this. Bought most of the supplies and was advises to go with the big orange shower boxes, but I wanted to give these a try first- since they are budget friendly. ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES. LOVE IT! Even though the boxes may not seem as "firm" and ridged as the orange box, my contractor has no issues installing or tiling them. Once the tile is up they are very sturdy and hold a lot of item. I love it. I have one more bathroom to remodel in my home and would buy again.

Because the niche is so large, there is some flex in the main area. Since I used a very small mosaic, I was concerned about grout cracking over time. It is recessed into the wall but there is a small space between the niche and the drywall in the next room. I made a small hole and sprayed in expanding foam to reduce the room for flex.

I installed this while framing my bathroom. Super easy install and although it seemed a little flimsy on the back has been just fine for my stone install.
