Umpqua Oats, No Mush All Natural Premium Oatmeal Packets, Custom Milled & Non-GMO (Maple Pecan, Pack of 12)

The kids gave me 10 of the packets back because they hated them so much that they were discarded. I said I had to try them myself and I'd find a home for the remainder of the packets. These are perhaps the worst oatmeal packets I've ever attempted to consume. Visually, they are slimy, like some broken flattened oats were covered in a slimy light brown sauce. The first spoonful was gagging, like salty mucous initially, followed immediately by a sour flavor that was nauseating. There is sweetness but it is overwhelmed by the salty, sour mucous-like disgusting oatmeal and there is a hint of cinnamon that trails like me in a race. I had to brush my teeth. Awful oatmeal.

Unless you want to buy the little cups, it looks like the only way you can buy this Umpqua oatmeal is a minimum of 4 boxes, which is about $24. (As of today, there also was a wait of 6 days for new stock). I bought the 4-box choice and I enjoyed all the flavors. And it's true that you only need one packet -- like most people I think, I normally use two packets per bowl of the more familiar brands.I am guessing that because the cereal is more substantial and has better quality ingredients, it naturally is going to cost more. It's a nice chewy hot cereal, versus the mush of something like Quaker instant oatmeal. Topped with blueberries or other fresh fruit, it really does feel you up. I cooked mine with milk instead of water.I don't know that kids would like this cereal because it's full of nuts and seeds and so, requires some serious chewing.I recommend you try it and if your food budget allows, you might want to stick with it. Again, it's good quality. And I probably will buy it again at some point, just not as my regular breakfast cereal, more like an occasional treat.

I have purchased other Umpqua oats (in the individual serving cups) and they were delicious. These come in individual packets. I have followed the packaged directions (hot water or microwave) for preparation, and they still do not fully cook. I will not purchase these again.

This product is not authentic!!! I literally am so picky about my oatmeal and was above and beyond happy when I discovered Umpqua oats. When my local grocery store stopped carrying it, I turned to Amazon to buy it. Only, it’s fake! It’s not true Umpqua Oats. It’s a cheap filler. Save yourself the time and money and don’t buy this. It’s not genuine. See my picture for proof.

The maple pecan has a wonderful flavor. They are just the packets not the little containers. Great for breakfast and quite filling. Umpqua is awesome, high quality ingredients. No hard to pronounce chemicals. 😊

We had these oats while on vacation in South Carolina. When we came home to NY we looked all over for them and couldn’t find in any stores. We were thrilled to find them on Amazon. We love them! Our daily breakfast. And what’s better than ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS!? We put cold water in first and then microwave about 1:20-1:30. They come out perfectly. Delicious!

Delivery was swift and item was well packaged. These are great oats! Like it says no mush!

found only a couple very small pieces of walnuts and berries, the rest was just like other instant oats, so will go back to the less expensive brand of oats and add my own walnuts and other goodies . Also, one of the individual packages was not sealed at all and spilled the contents inside box
