Pelican 14 Quart Cooler

My old igloo finally broke so I had to find a replacement and after looking long and hard I came to this Pelican. Its well made and ice seems to hold for at least 2 days (maybe 3), the handle on my last cooler broke mainly because I put a lot of weight in it (ice/drinks) but the handle on this Pelican looks much more rigid & durable. Its almost perfect, I wish it was about an in wider and taller, seems the 16 oz. Nalgene bottles I use make it a little tight for 5 of them. The tray to hold sandwiches is a nice addition, the holes in the tray allow the ice in the bottom to keep things cool, I wish it was about .03 thicker seems a little thin but it should last for a number of years. The lid on top to put utensils in is helpful, I would be careful about dropping something on it, the lid is a little thin and would probably bust. This cooler is a good size not to big and has excellent latches to keep the lid shut, overall its an excellent value compared to others in this size and price range. Pelican is a great company with a good reputation for quality products.

Great lunch box. I like the top basket holds protein bars and sunglasses case. The the depth below the basket is OK. Normal size cans fit. Redbull cans are too tall. Cold retention is excellent. Bummer it doesn't come with a shoulder strap. It does have gaps on the sides where you can put your own. Which I did, and its wonderful. Top part is shallow. I use for my wallet, ID badge and pouches. Bottle opener on the front is clutch too!

I love the way this thing looks and functions. It’s easy to carry around and transport. The handle and lids are easy to use. Very well insulated to hold ice all day for my lunch. Don’t regret buying at all.

Bought this for my husbands lunchbox. Great size, has a basket to keep some things cold but not in the ice, has a small dry area in the lid, good for napkins, silverware, drink flavor packets. It is very nice! We have had for about a year. My husband is in construction and this has held up remarkably well.

This is not a cheapo cooler, and I don't worry about it getting damaged. I gave it four stars instead of five, because one of the latches is looser than the other, it just seems a bit floppy when it's unlatched, which gets a little annoying. When it's closed it's great. I use it as a truck cooler, I keep it in the bed of my truck (covered) for beer, lunch, whatever. And bring it mountain biking or fishing quite a bit.

We love this little cooler and have taken it on many outings with us! The small size is great for portability while maintaining the excellent insulation these types of coolers are known for. There's been no leaks and the ice holds up over a day. I like that the handle doesn't dig into my hand while carrying and is easy to keep a hold of. It's very nice looking and has held up well so far.

Very sturdy and well-built. Keeps items cold for a long time and is perfect for trips or outdoor use. Great quality overall!

I live in my car , work 12 hour shifts , and this is everything i needed next to me . Try finding a hard cooler with a small storage dry box . There literally is none which blows my mind as most people want to carry meds , utensils , chargers , etc . With a little bit of jenga playing i can fit all my meals , water , energy drinks , and snacks in this thing . I don’t have to use as many cooler packs so it helps . It stays cold all day in the middle of SC summers , made very very well . Locks and closes nicely and it’s just the best thing ever my only complaint is the colors . I ordered the green moss or whatever it’s called . It’s mint .. kind of girly but i like the color so much i don’t even care . Prob throw a sticker or two on it and rock on . The storage dry box are is very thin . You arnt going to be able to put a med bottle in it . I just put all my tums and pepto meds in a sandwich baggie and rocked on . I had to make sure my phone charger and car keys lay very flat before closing . But again could be worse . Still a 10/10 on coolers size , functionality and quality

Quality is what you're buying, this is definitely a case of quality over quantity. Still able to fit quite a bit in even with ice packs, very pleased with how thick and sturdy it is. Keeps food cold for days!

I got this lunch box in may before I went back out to work, this box stayed supercool in the back of my truck all day, 30°+ outside and in the sun. I absolutely love it, It has lots of storage and I can fit 4 bottled drinks in the bottom, and a days lunch in the tray above. My only complaint is there’s no place to put a shoulder strap, I made one myself and made it work and it’s 10x better now, I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get a hard lunchbox cooler

This thing is a tank. I use it on the job site and it has taken a beating. With an ice pack it cooks my lunch cold throughout the day and the top part keeps my phone charger, pens and other odds & ends.
