Good replacement for Dell basic straight keyboards
Update: 12/01/20 Numeric keypad "Enter" key repeats repeatedly when using for calculation (like >100 times!) 01/10/21 Delete key stopped working completely, must use mouse to reposition and backspace. Prolly time for a diff keyboard. ---------------------- Found this on Amazon. Was looking for a backlit keyboard to replace my original Dell keyboard and this one was almost identical in key layout (so not much to relearn). I also did not want an "ergonomic" keyboard so this one fit the bill. I am not a "gamer" so I don't use it for that purpose, just regular computer work. The backlight is nice in low light conditions. Adding an option for a white backlight on the keys would be nice especially during daytime hours when it is light. The Num/Caps/Scroll Lock indicators are very easy to see and identify, that is good; however, it would be nice if the color of those LEDs matched the backlight color and only defaulted to blue when no backlight was selected for the rest of the keyboard. I very much like that the backlight goes through the keycap characters and not just underneath the keys. Feel of the keyboard is good, not too clicky and not too mushy and not too noisy. "Touch indicators" are nicely pronounced (can feel them easily) on the F, J, and 5 numeric keys. Build of the keyboard seems very sturdy and I like that it is not encased in a lot of plastic around the edges. One thing I miss is having a Windows menu key on the right side of the keyboard as I am used to doing a quick keyboard lock with Windows+L keys, I wonder if the LED control key could double as a Windows key?

Great option for affordable, full-travel keystroke keyboard
I got this for a second workstation area. I needed a backlit keyboard but didn't want to pay $50-100 or more. This fits the task perfectly. Not only that, but I was surprised by how good the keyboard is! Now, I don't know if it would fit all of a gamer's needs (n-key rollover, etc.), but the keystrokes seem responsive to me. Very similar to Logitech G710, but softer keystrokes since these are not mechanical. Nice, standard key layout also, nothing fancy. And not overboard on the "WASD" keys. (for one thing, I use numpad if I play a game, and second, I hate when companies make red WASD keys - I don't want to see those keys separately from the others all day long!) Three colors is a bit limited but the color choices are nice. The backlighting is done very well - not blinding at all, very good lighting through the keycaps as well as underneath the keys. I even had an issue with my cable being loose, and seven months later, when it popped out of the case, the company sent me an updated 7-color version! I truly wasn't expecting them to do that. Thank you for caring about your customers!

Please With DBPOWER Keyboard so Far
I recently purchased this keyboard on Amazon for $22 after review dozens of mechanical keyboards. This isn't mechanical, but it has the look, feel, and action of mechanical and is QUIET compared to mechanical. Last thing I need is the wife bellyaching about the keyboard being too loud. Reason for originally looking for a mechnical was that the prior backlit keyboard (not mechanical) keys had worn off. Too early to tell if the same thing will happen with this, but the description said UV coated ABS plastic, so hopefully I will get some more life out of it than the prior keyboard. The other reason I purchased this backlit DBPOWER keyboard, beside price and potential for longer key life and low noise, was that it has only 3 solid colors: Red, Blue, and Purple. I can't stand the rainbow LED crap and just about everything on Amazon in backlit is rainbow.. or if it was available in solid color it had a negative review as far as the keys wearing off. At night and in the dark, the colors are fine and you can see the keys clearly. During the day, the bottom row of keys are brighter than the upper rows but who gives a sh*t.. it's daytime so I can read the keys. Plus, there is a seperate key to change colors or turn the backlight off. There are some FN+ keypress functions to get effects like beathing color.... but how stupid is that? All I want to get from a backlit keyboard is the ability to see the keys in the dark and the rare possiblity that I might want to change from blue to red, or possibly purple. Nuff said on that. Anyway, for $22, I don't think you can go wrong with this product. If the keys wear out in a few months like the last one, then I guess i will have to step up to a true mechanical keyboard with laser engraved key letters and some type of key face protection.. for $60 to $120. Hoping to avoid that, since I don't like the click and clack of mechanicals! Ciao! :-)

Keyboard types great, one small thing to note
Typing on this keyboard feels great and the price is even greater (I bought it for $18). It feels like typing on one of the traditional Dell keyboards that are not mechanical, so this would not be my first recommendation for gaming because it is not easy to actuate the keys as red switches are. Lighting choice is also good, especially the blue and the purple (I would have preferred green, purple, and blue but oh well). One small thing to note is that the traditional right click button on a keyboard is not present and is replaced with the lighting button on this keyboard. It is not enough to warrant a star off, but if it is a deal breaker for you, then keep that in mind before you purchase this keyboard. Overall, wonderful keyboard. Edit (7/29/2019): Just wanted to write an update for an extra note of caution. Certain keyboards have given me wrist pain because of the angle of the keyboard when it is in the raised position, and this would be one of them. Not a fault of the product, just myself. However, if you are someone that regularly gets wrist pain from typing, I would highly recommend you invest in a wrist rest to save yourself some pain and treatment money. I bought one on Amazon for about $10.
