Vivere Brazilian Style Double Hammock, Oasis

Until recently, I could never find a hammock that matched the ones I slept in while traveling in Brazil -- their cloth-style hammocks are bigger, sturdier and more comfortable than the typical American rope hammocks. This one is exactly what I was looking for, and even cheaper than what I was able to find in Brazil. The fabric breaths in the summer, and when it's cooler out you can lay a blanket underneath you and turn the hammock into a warm, cozy cocoon. I've been using mine for months now and it's probably the best purchase I've made this year. Highly recommended.

We bought this hammock to replace an older one that we'd had for a while that had gotten worn out after years of use (and a teething puppy). We love this hammock! We have the stand to go with it and recently also bought the wheels to help move the stand, which are also great. This hammock is wonderful for fitting both my husband and me and even our 80 lb golden retriever (now that she's no longer teething). We love to lay out and watch the stars at night or read on weekend mornings. Highly recommend it! I will mention that if you buy the stand, spend the extra money for the wheels as well - definitely worth the extra investment. The stand is easy enough to take apart and put back together for storage or traveling, though we leave ours up most of the year. If the weather's too bad (and it gets bad in Oklahoma), we'll bring it onto our screened-in porch. But it is great most of the year.

I picked up this hammock to replace a net style hammock with the spreader bars. This hammock is fantastic. It is very comfortable and while it doesn't have a pillow like my other hammock did, I don't think that it needs one. The quality of the material and overall construction looks to be very durable, and I'm hoping that it'll last a while. The length of the hammock does concern me a little bit as I have a hammock stand and with this hammock I had to shorten the chains quite a bit, which means that if it stretches a lot, I'm in trouble. So far (6 weeks) the hammock hasn't stretched too much, so hopefully I'll have nothing to worry about. Overall, it's a great comfortable hammock, and I will purchase again!

I bought this item as an extra for the Vivere double hammock with space-saving stand. I thought that it might be a little longer than the original and it was. I had to put the hanging hooks on the stand six spaces down instead of three. If it stretches, I guess I'll put a knot in the strings to shorten it. But it works for me. Oh, the item description says that it includes a zippered carrying bag. Mine did not. It would have been good to have it, though. 9-22-2017 comment: I was curious about some of the other hammocks which had great Amazon reviews and ordered one in the same price range as this one. It was OK but definitely inferior to Vivere in fabric quality, stitching detail, and especially the hanging ropes and loops. For my purposes, Vivere is the only way to go!

This is a very well made product. Large enough to hold two adults.....as my (9 years old) son and I lay on this on many occasions, and we were both fit comfortably. It is one of those "wrap around" hammocks that envelopes your entire body if you so desire. I don't usually leave it outside to face the elements such as rain etc., so I really can't speak of how good it can withstand the constant stress. My use is as follows: I hang using this Algoma 7800 Hammock Tree Hanging Straps which I bought at the same time and leave hanging on the trees. When I am done I simply repackage it in the handy (albeit weak) plastic pouch that comes with it until my next use. Big enough for my needs and is very comfortable.

I have bought two of these and they are great. I am Brazilian and can say that despite being made in China, their construction is just like the ones you would find in Brazil, just without the detailed finishes (which you may or may not like depending on personal taste). My wife and I (300 pounds combined) can fit in the hammock together without any issues -- spacious and strong. Very comfortable hammock, and also comes with a metal inside the corner knots to protect the ends. The colors are true to the pictures.

These are so good that he fought over ours in the divorce. 😂 I bought another & love it! This is the most comfortable hammock ever. I like wrapping it around me instead of those with spreader bars. I hang mine low so my 60lb boxer can climb in to cuddle & swing with me. I finally put mine under a covered deck by the woods where It's my happy place. * The double size easily fits 2 people. I highly recommend the metal stand with the attachment wheels, so it's easier to move around the yard.

This is a very nice hammock. I purchased it along with the Pawleys Island tree straps and have been very happy with the purchase. The hammock is very well made and looks as though it will provide many years of use. We do not leave it outside when we are not using it, in order to keep it clean and to help it last longer. I am sure if it is left out in the sun and rain, the lifespan would be reduced. We were pleasantly surprised that it is easy to store the hammock back into the bag that it is shipped in; we fold it back into that bag and hang the bag on a hook in a closet. This was an excellent purchase and highly recommend this hammock.
