Works exactly as demonstrated
When I saw the video demonstration I thought for sure that it had to be bs but, it really does rocket the latch out of the lock. There's a very powerful spring that is compressed and held into place when the lock is engaged and released by the electro magnet when triggered with 12v. Disengaging the lock is very satisfying and it makes a cool metallic ping noise. Haven't used the extra wires yet for logic feedback as I only triggered it manually with a battery but, should be easy to implement triggering with a logic chip and a 555 timer in one shot mode hooked up to a button and a power transistor on the output pin to trigger the electromagnet with 12v. I'm definitely going to buy more, eventually. Quick delivery and I'm very happy with my order.

Compact and Sturdy
I use the lock for a project that I am working on. So far I am happy with the performance. Installing it for a perfect fit is a bit of a challenge and I wish it came with adjustable brackets. Practice installing it on a test door before you install it on the actual door. There is an ingenious way of installing it perfectly using foam and double sided tapes.

Almost started a fire!!
I was using this as a drawer lock and it almost lit my nightstand on fire. The lock was burning hot, so much that I couldn't even touch it! I would return it but I just tried to install it and I'm 7 days out of the return policy. Would def not buy or recommend!!

It's quite strong
I was more curious than in need with this lock but once I had it in my hand I though of several uses. I have a desk with a built in lamp so there is power available. It has a side panel that opens when pressed but no method to actually lock the panel. I felt this might solve that issue so I removed the panel and installed the lock and latch. That worked out fine and I was able to adjust the position of the lock so there was no play in the panel. I found a programable RFID device with dry contacts that could trigger the lock to open and installed it, along with a small 12 Vdc power supply. It all worked and for less than the cost of dinner out. If you have good skills with fixing things and can change a tire, you can install this latch. Very highly recommend.
