Tonno Pro Tonno Fold, Soft Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | 42-313 | Fits 1997 - 2003 Ford F-150 8' Bed (96")

I am writing a review as I am buying my 2nd Tonneau for my 1998 Ford F-150. The first one I bought was 3 years ago and the only reason I am replacing it is because of my own mistake. I had weight in the back of the truck a couple of winters ago (big wheel drum) and forgot to put it back on a couple of mats I had it on so it wouldn't slide around when I was driving. Unfortunately, the wheel drum slid into the back left corner of one of the anchor clips and broke it, so I had to jerry rig that anchor side and it finally met it's maker today. Overall, great quality and very easy to use!

easy install, haven't had rain or snow yet so don't know about weather prof. looks tight.very pleased withe it

Fit my 1997 f150 8ft bed pickup. It isn't 100% watertight but I wasn't expecting it to be and I could add some extra weather stripping if that was an issue.It's easy to install, remove, and fold up.It held up to about 8-10 inches of snow, but I didn't let that sit for days. When the snow stopped I went out and cleared it off, removed ice that formed at the base etc no rips etc. I made it a priority to not let snow sit on it for long as I could see the weight of it pushing down and didn't want to risk rips/stretching etc.

Before the cover I couldn’t use the bed of the truck to throw lighter stuff in while I was driving, and this fixed that problem. It also is getting a little better gas mileage, but I got it right as fuel prices sky rocketed so not much savings for me (at no fault of the cover). This is also just about the cheapest one I could find and the quality is good.

It does what a soft tonneau cover is expected to do, easy to install and easy to use. The only issue I have with it is the thickness of the materials, both the frame and the vinyl cover. It did fit my 8 ft Ford bed, but only just. When it rains, when going through a car wash machine or when windy with dust or pollen in the air, water/dust gets in quite easily.

So far holding up to a northern Midwest winter. I like that I can just brush off snow, instead of digging it out of my truck before I got this. Unlike most roll up types, this cover has three folds with metal support bands at each section. Hopefully this can take the weight of heavier snow before I can sweep it off. Bought it for closing the box for winter, closing the box after filling the truck with leaves, and hopefully better gas mileage.
