Just brilliant
Absolutely brilliant. You probably wouldn't buy this if you just looked at the internet description. Why pay this price for a picnic salt and pepper pot? Well this is the fourth one I have bought. One has been given as a present. Two have been lost. The price has risen four fold but it's still worth it. Two chambers with spring loaded caps. Easily refillable. Holes large enough for hand ground pepper, not that nasty preground stuff. The other three were filled with salt and black pepper but this one came empty. No big deal. This one has one large chamber and one smaller chamber but some are 50/50. It can be operated with one hand so you can open your M&S BLT in one hand and add salt and pepper with the other. I make over a hundred rail journeys a year and buy lots of salads and sandwiches from shops on the station. They never season food so this is absolutely indespensible.

This did not keep the salt and pepper dry and the metal pin went rusty after only being using on two short outdoor trips.

Great to have in your picnic set or lunch bag
This is a lovely, well engineered little set that comes ready filled and works a treat. It's size make it very portable. I keep it in my cool bag ready for picnics but it would be great to have in a lunch bag to take to work too. It does seem rather expensive for what it is but it is really well designed and engineered.

It looks great and appears to be built to last
I ordered this from Amazon directly and it showed as being in stock. It took nearly 3 weeks to be delivered so bear in mind if you are wanting this quickly it might take a while to be delivered. Obviously, it's a salt and pepper dispenser, and it's quite expensive for what it is. But it doesn't leak and the contents aren't effected by humidity. So no clumping together of the contents. It looks great and appears to be built to last. You don't have to put Salt and Pepper in it, the white caps at the top can be removed so you can put anything in there you want.

Ideal Picnic/travel accessory
I originally purchased one of these sets a couple of years ago and have taken it on every holiday/journey, home and abroad since then. Ideal size for taking out and about as there is no worry about spillage and the container keeps the pepper and salt dry. I use it most days to take to work for lunches; very useful for salads or a meal which needs last minute spicing up; it has been very popular with work colleagues. I gave the original one to a friend at work and ordered this replacement for me.

Ridiculously well made. I love it!
I'm sure I read somewhere that this like a Swiss army penknife - far too well made for just cutting stuff. This is the same sort of thing. If you found it in the street you'd thing it was a piece of lab equipment. Its gorgeous. Your grandchildren will probably be using it for something long after salt and pepper had been banned. Its basically a very pleasing acrylic block with NASA quality engineering that, well, holds and sprinkles salt and pepper. I would be pleased to have one to play with even if I hated salt and pepper. You'll be pleased you bought it and never quite know why. And you will start looking for excuses to use it in front of your friends. Just make sure they let you have it back.
