Review on Infinity Pro vs John Frieda hot air brush.. hope it helps somone!
I bought both the Infinity Pro Hot Air Spinner 2" and the John Frieda Salon Shape 1.5 Inch Hot Air Brush ( JF for short). Both are great products. The Infinity by Conair is rated #1 and JF is rated #2. I had a hard time trying to decide which to buy. Then bought both. I wanted to share the differences between the two in case it helps someone else choose one or both. I love both products. The biggest difference is that the Infinity spins and the JF does not. The other noticeable difference is that the Infinity spin brush has very soft bristles. My hair is a medium- longish bob. The bristles are soft and won't just "grab" my hair unless I use the spinning option. It works great and it gives you the blow out look. The JF may not spin but the bristles are soft and they have some sturdier bristles mixed in which does grab hair very easily. It also will give you the blow out look. If you have shorter hair, the 2' Infinity Pro Spin won't really be small enough with the overall shape or size. I would opt for a smaller barrel. I believe the Infinity does come smaller. The JF 1.5" grabs shorter hair easily ( it has some harder bristles). It was used on my mom's hair because her hair is shorter. The Infinity worked too spinning, but a smaller barrel size would've worked better on her hair. The JF worked great. As I said, both are great products and I'm glad to have both. Mine is the Infinity and the JF is my mom's. So I have been able to use both and see the differences, pros and cons. Both have 3 settings, high, low and cool. Both style very well. I have never been able to perfect the art of using a brush in one hand and a hair dryer in the other to dry my hair. I use the Conair styling hair dryer that has a brush attachment to "dry my hair". Another thing is that both the Infinity and the JF work best when your hair is about 75-80% dry. Then you can fix any frizziness or curl with either product. ( Both my mom and I have curly hair). I know this review is being written on the Infinity page, I did the same on the John Frieda review. I love how the Infinity spins nicely, and it spins in either direction which is great! It does not tangle and shapes my hair very easily. I can understand why it's rated #1. I love it and have had no problems. It's a learning curve, but an easy one. I used to have the Instyler, and I had a hard time with that one. Mainly because the tip got too hot. The tips or the ends on the Infinity and JF both warm up and can get quite warm. Thermal gloves work fine if you need something, but you can buy cheap gloves at Walgreens and they work just as well. I haven't found a need for either. The only thing I wish the Infinity had was a few harder bristles mixed in with the very soft bristles. They would help in grabbing hair if not using the spin option. I wouldn't take off any points for that. As I said, both products are great! They both shape and smooth while styling! Both work great at the roots providing extra lift! I hope this review helps someone make a decision if needed. Both come in different sizes which is good. Both work very well which is great! I love the Infinity product and highly recommend it! Hope this helps someone!! I know I had a hard time deciding, and I'm glad I bought both. I do use my Infinity all the time. I do not use my mom's JF as often but she does use it and she loves it too! . Sorry I used the word "both" so many times! :) Thanks! I hope this helps someone!

Awesome one you get the hang of it
I do think this is a very good styling tool BUT it takes time to get the technique down. It is most definitely NOT able to be used with hair that is only towel dried. I must let my hair air dry for awhile or use my old blow dryer as this doesnt have the capacity to spin effectively through my long thick hair when wet. It spins much easier and smoother when almost dry. It does deliver shine and body. Ill happily keep using it. It does save the wrist (not having to use round brush and dryer) I feel that the heat is just enough to get the style done (as I have hair that likes to curl) PS make sure you are sectioning off your hair precisely and only use about 2" wide sections (leaving exposed bristles on either side) or when hair dries and expands the stragglers will tangle around and be ripped out. It save me time by 1-allowing me to style faster since im not hurting my wrist. 2- It spins faster than I can with a round brush (Brush Spins are more effective) and 3- Straightens and curls under ends at once. UPDATE* As i do not wash my hair all that often (3xweek) I have had very lil practice with this and already )after 2x use) i am getting very comfortable with it. I can see when i am prolly gonna have a tug on my hair and can stop it before it happens. the trick is (for long hair) to use smaller sections. You might think that this would add to the time it takes to dry and style but it doesn't. without tangling, untangling and brushing again, I can just use smaller sections and save myself that time. Tonight I was to meet a girlfriend for dinner and almost didnt want to wash my hair (even tho it needed it) bc I thought it may take too long to dry and style. Again very long/thick hair and I was washed, dryed, styled and gone in UNDER 30 MINS!!! thats a record for me! When I got to the restaurant sHE said, " I just came from the gym, I told you not to get too cute" I told her it was this hot brush. And that I had just gotten out of the shower 30 mins ago!!! If you want a pro blow out, have hair you are too lazy to style but dont want to chop-BUY THIS!!!

When I first purchased this blow drier I was looking for a tool that could give me an edge, that could help me not work so hard to get a salon simulated blow out. When it arrived, it took a few tries to get used to it in my hand. My hair was shoulder/ collar bone length and when I used the drier it wasn't giving me the bounce I had hoped for. I was beginning to think it was a waste of money. But a few weeks later I cut my hair to The middle of my neck and re-tried using this drier. Now at this length I can say -- IT IS THE BEST TOOL EVER! I love this drier. Combined with some volumizing mousse my hair has crazy amounts of volume. It looks like a professional blow out. Things to note: 🔹I have medium fine hair - but a lot of it. 🔹My hair hasn't been coloured 🔹And as mentioned it sits at the base of my neck ✅ Is it worth the money 💲 - YES ✅ Would I order another one 💯 per cent. Hope this helps. 💋

I purchased this last yr in the US. The rotating barrel was slightly smaller but faster. This one is a little bulky and not as quick. Needs a lot more pressure. Meets expectations and definitely worth the price. I really love the results but its been a little over 1.5yrs and the rotating brush has stopped working. I use it on a regular basis to smoothen my bangs, that's all. Its a pity it doesn't work anymore, have spent additionally on the converter and plug for the same. It is a good product. Just not built to last.
