Berserk Deluxe Volume 1: deluxe edition

I could not ever give enough praise, or gush enough over this manga to do it justice. The body of work as a whole is mind blowing, the art is superb, I started off with a standard edition, then decided I have to go deluxe. The imagery is splendid, the world is dark.....very dark, it's certainly not a book for kids! I love it, I have now brought 8 of the deluxe versions, which are each three volumes in one and in my view a apsolute bargain for what they sell on here. If you like manga and haven't read berserk, just do it. I'm not going to start going into details about the plot as I could not do it justice, you have to view it to apreciate this masterwork in manga. 5 Stars all the way!

Great place to buy Berserk, better prices than places I’ve had a look at, and for £35-40 it’s a steal! And if there’s any damage Amazon return/replace process is super easy so no need to worry there. The story is just amazing coming from watching the 1997 show wanting more after the eclipse reading this was a blast, it also doesn’t feel like I’m just reading a story I’ve watched fully because the show cut out some bits so it still felt fresh. Would re-read anyways I would say I’d recommend this book too everyone but it has sensitive topics so unless you are okay with that maybe this isn’t for you.

Great manga first time reading and it’s amazing

bought because i heard it was good so i bought it and it was good and well worth it. first manga I've ever bought and read was a bit difficult to get use to reading right to left but watch some tutorial and once i did that it was a fly what i mean is i was reading it easy. the art of the manga is brought to the extreme and full of life is shoved into the "Oversized pages." its a good collectors item looks nice on shelf and feels nice and leathery but overall it deserves a 5 out of 5 stars i very much enjoyed it I'm glad i bought it and read it I'm bought the secound one now as writing the review story so far good excited to learn more lore of the berserk world.

Best manga series. I can't put the book down

It's got great art and a decent story. Though it has a parental advisory sticker for a reason

The manga is perfect, even better than the anime from 1997 and the design of the book is really nice also. Only issue is the corner is slightly creased.

It was too big to be called a book. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw paper.

This is one of the best things to get as a Berserk fan or a manga fan in general. The quality is top notch. More of this please!

First volume in the series and its the best! The leather hardcover makes it more premium like and a Must-Have Manga in collection.

Reise durch die Unterwelt hat gestartet: Ich hatte mit Berserk nie was am Hut. Ab und zu mal was davon gehört. Ein Kumpel empfahl mir den Manga mal zu lesen, denn es sei mal was anderes als JoJo (grosser JoJo Fan hier). Da traute ich mich mal an Berserk ran und bestellt mir direkt die Deluxe Edition. Natürlich musste es auf Englisch sein, das gibt irgendwie einen anderen Vibe. Ausserdem finde ich Hardcover qualitativ besser als Softcover. Und dieses Hardcover macht schon was her und sieht super edel aus. Die ersten Seiten durchgelesen und ich war in der Berserk (Unter)Welt gefangen. Dieser Manga, dir Story, die Zeichnungen einfach nur grandios. Die Panels kommen super zum Vorschein da das Buch groß ist und die Seiten dann natürlich viel Platz bieten. Einige Panels starte ich minutenlang an denn in jeder Zeichung steckt so viel Liebe und Detail, unglaublich! Nach dem durchlesen des Brockens eines Buches war ich begeistert. Geiler Protagonist, super designte Gegner, sehr düster, super brutal, blutig, aber hat auch seine Comedy-momente. Habe mir direkt Vol.2 der Deluxe Edition bestellt! Ein einziges Manko ist jedoch das bei vier Seiten der Druck sehr hell ist (siehe letztes Bild), das stört mich jetzt nicht so sehr, jedoch muss sowas nicht sein bei so einem Preis. Aber jeder Manga hat seine Druckfehler, dies kommt leider vor. Alles in allem freue ich mich mit Vol.2 weiterzumachen und ein neues Regal für die nächsten Bücher zu organisieren. Top Manga! Super Klasse und jede Empfehlung wert!
