Does exactly what it says
I had two studio monitors I wanted to use for the front L/R speakers of my home theater. My speakers were powered and needed RCA connections, my receiver only had standard speaker wire connections. What to do?? Use this! Wire one side to receiver, connect the RCA connectors to my monitors. It dissipates the additional current that runs through speaker wires and brings the RCA connection to line level. Perfect! Wires are clearly marked and easy to connect. Don’t spend more for anything else - this product does what you need.

Power ground and audio ground are not isolated
Could not get rid of ground hum until I removed it completely. My Audi factory amp has an isolated RCA ground, so when this joins it to power ground, ground hum occurs even with the car not running. +12V and remote wires are mislabeled/swapped. Until I switched them, the car sensed voltage on the accessory line with key off and wouldn't let the doors lock until the capacitance bled off.
