Little Tikes Adjust and Jam Pro Basketball Set, Blue

I bought this for my 2 year old, but also for myself for some nostalgia. I think almost every kid has had one of these classic hoops growing up. The quality is tried and true. Assembly is a piece of cake. Height is adjustable, base can be filled with sand or water. We are currently using it indoor so the base is empty but the weight is distributed such that it won’t fall over on its own so there’s no point adding weight.

My kids love this! My oldest is 7 and uses this indoors durning our old Ohio winter months. It goes up higher than what it is in my picture too. It will touch my 7ft basement ceilings easily if I raise up to next notch. And as you can see in the picture we have an older basketball hoop too and what I like about the bigger version is the hoop is breakaway so my kids won’t bend and break.

Worth it! I’m uncertain why others reviewed this as too small, or complained about the netting falling off, or mention poor instructions. It’s 5 pieces which go together pretty simply, with or without instructions. It’s definitely taller than other advertised items for smaller children and if the netting is PROPERLY installed it can’t fall off. It’s VERY sturdy and if filled with some sand or water you certainly won’t have and tipping issues with outside use. My grandson will be thrilled when Easter arrives. The only thing I can’t attest to is that I saw other complaints written or for the collapsing hoop. At the moment, I’m not seeing a problem with that, and I did note that another reviewer said after contacting the manufacturer (little Tykes) he was mailed some type of clip that fixed the issue. Looking at the product, I could easily make this a non-collapsing hoop and keep it upright with one screw. Obviously, this is not comparable to the $200 metal basketball hoop that you see, but that’s not what I’m looking for. I’m a grandmother looking for a basketball hoop for my four-year-old grandson that he will not outgrow in a year. I’m no expert, but I believe my grandson will be able to use this for at least four or five years and for the price. It’s well beyond worth that. Please see my photos for assistance. Also, I’m a 64 year-old grandmother who put this together in minutes. I did find using a rubber mallet worked very well when attaching the hoop to the stand. There’s nothing difficult about this and honestly no instructions are needed.

This hoop is completely flawed. My son just turned 5 so we got this size hoop which is the next level up from the mini little tikes hoop he loved for the last few years. The problem with this hoop is that the piece that holds the height level snaps off extremely easily and the hoop slides down all the time. This is even occurring just from a light shot at the hoop with the little tikes ball they give you. Why did the build the height holder on the side and make it so cheap? My in-laws have an older model of the same hoop and it’s held up great. This particular model is so awful. I would 0% recommend it. Do not waste your money Update: 3 Months later and the hoop is even worse. The rim doesn’t stay up, the hoop doesn’t stay at the level you pick and it’s the worst hoop I’ve ever seen. I have to use tape to keep it up. This is on regular shots from a 4 year old. I wouldn’t take this hoop if they were giving it to free to me. Please find another hoop.

UPDATED: I contacted Little Tikes, and they sent me a replacement rim and sliding piece, free of charge. It was not too complicated to replace, and so far the new rim seems to be staying in place during regular play. I am pleased with the customer service I received. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I agree with the other reviews that the one problem with this product is that the breakaway rim does not stay up well enough to withstand regular shooting. Every-other shot or so, the rim will collapse down, and then you have to put it back up. When your child is not tall enough to reach the rim, it makes it difficult for them to play by themselves for any length of time. The rest of the product is great. We put water in the base instead of sand, which has worked great. The ball keeper on the back of the base is a great spot to put the ball when you stop playing for a bit. The height adjustments give a good range of options for different levels of play. I go back to the drawback which is the breakaway rim not staying up well. It's annoying and takes away from the play experience.

Purchased this after our first one finally broke after many years of use. Good quality. Easy to adjust the height of the basket. Only issue is if you "slam dunk" the ball the net drops lower and needs to be adjusted. Other than that kids love it.

This is a great little tikes product for a little older kids! While my toddlers used a similar and much smaller product, this one is a hit with my 7-11 year old kids now. It extends upward and reaches almost to our basement ceiling, providing the challenge the older kids need. Yet it can also be lowered for younger kids to be able to "slam dunk" as well. Easy enough to assemble that my 7 year old did it himself, rather than wait until Mom was available to help later! The breakaway rim is great to avoid someone just breaking it completely off. Wonderful way for the kids to exercise while indoors during winter.

Durable plenty of fun

We really like this unit for our grandkids 4 and 6 years old. The adjustments for height of the basket is very easily done, and the kids are loving using it right in our apartment, no sand or water needed in the base but may do that if we take it outside.

Esta padrisima y la encontre en super precio cuando la compre! Esta en el patio y le ha llovido etc y sigue nueva!! Le compre pelota mas chica que las que generalmente usamos, la que viene es medio chafis.
