Excellent inexpensive spotting scope.
For the price of this spotting scope, it is HARD to beat. I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about when zooming in all the way, I can see quite clearly at 60x. I am now able to spot my hits on splatter targets at 300 yards very easily. Tripod feels cheap, but it's sitting on a table and not being subject to abuse so I guess that doesn't really matter. Can clearly see .22LR, .308, and .223 hits on splatter targets at 100/200/300 yards. ADJUST YOUR FOCUS AND YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM!

So far,so good
I came to this page to help answer a question so I figured while I was here I would add a short review. I bought this straight viewer model for use at the range, and so far I'm very pleased with it.I use it with the tripod, sitting down,so the straight viewpiece was my choice. It could also easily be used standing up,minus the tripod, but it is a somewhat large scope, relatively bulky compared to the smaller ones,so keep that in mind if you are seeking a handheld optic. It has a nice clear view, and holds focus well, which are both traits of a better quality scope. It also comes with a nice case, which is a plus. That's about all I can state for now,if anything develops,I'll update this review.Just wanted to add;I just bought another smaller scope. The brand name is "Panda".It does'nt have the visual "reach" of the Emarth but I wanted one that was smaller and I would'nt be afraid to get it banged up.It also comes with a tripod plus an adapter for a phone camera.I'll use this around my property, viewing wildlife.Once it arrives I'll compare it to my Emarth. Also,I was NOT compensated in any way for writing this review.

Sturdy yet Very Light
Very nice scope. Bought it for spotting at the shooting range, but it's super light so I've been taking it with me hiking and birding.Sharing some test photos I took from my yard, looking at some mountains that are a few miles away. I take off my prescription glasses when I use the scope, so it's not in perfect focus from the camera's perspective. It's a little tricky taking photos through the scope since I have shaky hands... I'm thinking about rigging up an attachment to make it easy to line up my cell phone camera with the eye piece.

Decent quality at a good price.
I've taken it to the range once and had a good experience. I was only shooting out to 100 yds but was able to easily focus on my target and see .223 caliber holes very clearly. The big attraction for me was the reviews saying the stand was sturdy. It's sturdier than most you'll find in this price range. I was able to set it up to the left of my shooting bench and check my shot groups without much movement. I bumped it a couple of times knocking it off target but was able to get it back on target easily by dialing back the power ring then zooming back in once I had gotten it back on line.Clarity was better than expected. The sky was overcast so I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse than a bright sunny day, but overall I'm very satisfied as it meets my needs just fine, and I'm just not interested in spending $500, $1000 or $2 grand on a scope. The carry bag offers little protection but at least helps keep from losing the stand. It comes with an objective cap and ocular cover . I might try to find a plastic ammo box or something I can line with some foam for a little more protection.

Great budget scope, perfect for range use and a nice tripod
This scope works as advertised, I have no problem seeing clear holes out at 100-150 yards. Build quality is sufficient for light range use and I've had no issues so far, although I am careful to carry it separately vs throwing it in a full back of gear. The tripod is the best design i've seen in this price range, nothing fancy but its sturdy, well built and folds down to a small size for travel. The lens quality is sufficient for range use, focus knob is easy to use and it presents a clear picture in moderate light out to 150 yards. I have not taken it past 200 yards but it starts to gets a bit muddy at that range. Might want to spend more $$ if you're planning on using it for rough duty or need to see clearly out to 400. Eye relief and edge to edge clarity on this piece leave something to be desired, not bad but they're manageable for what you get at the price range. Perfectly functional overall, no major issues. There are some crappy scopes in this price range, I had bought different brand and the build quality was really bad... thin plastic, glue welds you could see through the glass, I had to treat that thing like fine china because it literally felt like it would crack in a soft breeze. Glad to see this Emarth does not seem to suffer any of these problems and so far its held up well.

Great product for the money.
I read some pretty bad reviews on this product. Must be some difficult people to please out there when their spending 60 dollars for a spotting scope/tripod. Took it to the range and could see my 223 rifle shots on plain paper targets 150 yards away easily and clearly. 150 yards is the furthest range I had access to but quite sure 200 yards would still be easy to see at the x60 magnification. Tripod material is what I would expect for this price range. Not a real thick metal but plenty sufficient for the scope that sits on it. Nice little carry bag. I'll upgrade to a hard case later. Received it in 2 days and I'm not a Prime member. Great product for the value and would recommend it to any and all my target shooting friends.

This scope provides great magnification and target clarity up to two hundred yards
This scope provides great magnification and target clarity up to two hundred yards. It may function well over 200 yards but, I haven't used this scope for spotting any targets beyond 200 yards.

Works as intended. No need to spend extra $$$
I used this for the first time this weekend to spot groups at 50 yards. It works as intended, with a nice clear picture of the target at about 30x zoom. I have yet to test at 100 yards or further, but would expect very little loss in performance.I have no issues with the tripod. It works as I intended to use it, on a shooting table, and it works well. Others have complained of the tripod, but have given no real evidence as to why, or were from the user's lack of understanding how to secure the rotation of each axis. Sure, it feels cheap so don't gorilla tighten all of the knobs, and you will have trouble free performance.I liked this grey model over the standard black one. That's just personal preference.
