Bluetooth Review: Essential for every retro gamer! - If you are into retro gaming, running emulators or just want a slightly more retro feel controller then this is a near essential purchase. The build quailty is solid. The plastic has a high quality feel and there is no rattle or flex in the controller. All buttons have a nice feel and response, and the analogue thumbsticks are PS4/Switch in feel without being too loose and enough resistance. Button, thumbstick and D Pad layout is very nice; pretty much a cross between a SNES and PS4 controller. It also has built in rumble too. Connecting the controller is easy using its built in Bluetooth. I've so far tried it on a PC with bluetooth built in, on a Samsung S20 phone and on a Raspberry Pi 4 runninf RetroPi. It connected fine with all these devices. The includes manual is short but actually very useful as ir details how to connect it, by putting the controller into pairing mode, and also changing it between controller protocols.. so you can put it into Switch mode to directly recognise and use it with a Nintendo Switch, or you can put it into D or X modes which are supported by most other systems and devices. So connecting and support is very well covered. Mapped buttons is easy in both Windows and for software such as RetroArch. Highly recommended. And don't be put off by the fairly high price. You definitely get what you pay for. Cheap usb controllers are cheap for a reason. You are getting a very well built, wireless Bluetooth, high quality product on par with the build quailty of products from companies such as Sony or Nintendo. Also consider you can also connect these controllers to almost any system even without Bluetooth by using an optional extra 8BitDo dongle. Review: The best SNES contoller ever created! - So..........I wanted a wireless controller for my Switch and SNES Classic, so bought this one and i must say im massively impressed with this controller! Pairing it with my Switch was very simple and within 2 minutes, i was having a blast on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyseyy. Even playing the NES games available to Switch Online subscribers was a complete doddle!. I also bought the wireless reciever for the SNES Classic and again it paired up easily with the SF30 Pro Controller. Its a dream come true with this controller! Very much like an official SNES controller, there is virtually no difference in performance on the controller. Buttons are very solid and there is 0% input lag. Even the two analogue sticks are very responsive and there are virtually no deadzones on either of them. As for the Shoulder buttons, they are very cleverly placed to perfection and they are very responsive aswell. I will also say that the D-Pad is awesome in everyway! If you want a comfy and very responsive controller, i 100% recommend it to anyone. I mean its about £30 cheaper than the Pro Controller for the Switch and the SF30 Pro Controller does the exact same job (only better imo). This also includes having a rechargeable battery built in. Highly recommended people. You wont regret it!

What you want for a Retro feel!
The controller is exactly what it says it is. It has all the functions described and works with standard Bluetooth connections. The set up required a few minutes because it uses button combinations for pairing. Sleeps automatically after some minutes of idle-ness. Once configured, just press start and it should link up again. My Windows 8 laptop had no problem recognising it(Yes I know, I'm one of those idiots that bought a windows 8 laptop!!!). The games I played it with supported it via the bluetooth without issue and most recognised the button configuration like it was an Xbox 360 Controller. Battery lasted for several hours of constant use. Takes about 3-4 hours to fully charge from empty. While the price is a bit high, I can't fault it really. It's rare to find this exact controller in the correct colour-scheme for an old SNES Controller. Rarity=cost. I'm considering buying another, but doubt I'll need it. If the price were lower, say £20, I'd have bought another one. If it lowers I still may. Quality is a non-issue for me as I've never broken a controller in my life. Some people have had problems with the rubber on the sticks coming off but I haven't had this issue and I've been playing with it for a few weeks now. Several hours a day. No issues there. It's plastic, so you shouldn't be hard with it and let's face it, it's not made by a very powerful company with millions to spend on crash-testing. It's not nintendium. Bare that in mind and treat it gently and I doubt you'll have any problem. Comfort is a little bit of an issue for me because I'm used to comfort grooves on controllers these days. But I expected the controller to take some getting used to since It's a throwback. It's made for aesthetics and nostalgia, not ergonomics. Aesthetics are as close as you can get to the SNES controller without compromising functionality. If you want jotsticks, the Skittle-buttons and d-pad have to move or shrink to make space for those two sticks. Despite this fact, they added four shoulder buttons like modern controllers and I barely noticed the shrinkage of the d-pad and skittle-buttons to make way for those sticks. All in all I think it's fantastic. The price was JUST on the edge of acceptable. Though really, considering the prices of Playstation and Microsoft controllers these days, It's not all that bad. It's supposed to function with a Playstation 4 so presumably that's a reason to validate it's expense, but I haven't tested that so I can't speak on it. If you're setting up a retro-system, like a respberry Pi, or just want to remember what it was like being young again and sitting in front of an eye-warping CRT monitor...Buy one!

Classic SNES controller easily beats an expensive nintendo pro controller
Growing up on SNES I needed this once I finally purchased a switch and considering the price of nintendo's pro controller this was a no brainer. Okay the rumble isn't as serious as nintendo's but this has rumble, motion controls and the analog sticks are perfect. If you have a PS4 the sticks with feel very familiar and the layout is the same as the PS4, Xbox users may need to get used to this however. It holds all the nostalgia and feels exactly like a SNES controller, it is exactly the same size as the classic controller but slightly thicker at the top due to the insides and this actually helps with gripping it. The buttons feel just like how I remember the classic feeling but the sticks are like my PS4 controllers, which I think are great quality sticks. I was worried my hands would be too big to hold this but it feels perfect to hold and have put in 5 hours of BOTW as soon as I got this out the box and loved every minute. As I said it has rumble and motion controls so works with all games. Also some people have mentioned they need to update the software before using it. Mine worked with my switch straight out the box and an important thing for me is this will work wirelessly as it's intended but also work wired too whilst it charges. I cannot recommend this controller enough, 5* all the way!

Old faithful
I’ve had this controller for a few years now and it still blows me away every time I use it. It’s so comfortable and has a really nice weight. It’s easy to hold it in different positions to hit the buttons however you need. The production quality is excellent too, has been used a lot and is in great conditions. The buttons have a really nice feel and the d-pad is one or the best designs, diagonals like a dream. I primarily use it to play on my Analogue Pocket on the TV, so lots of retro games, but I’ve used it to play modern games too and it’s been alright. This legit is the SNES controller enhanced and evolved.

Great Controller!
Fantastic controller. Works perfectly with my switch. The d-pad is one of the best I've seen in a long time. It fits comfortably in my hands and doesn't weight much. The sticks are responsive and comfortable. Rumble is good but it isn't HD. Easy to connect. Looks amazing. Must have item for anybody looking for a great pro controller for their switch at a reasonable price. I'll be picking up a second one soon.

It came next day! I love it, it's beautiful does EVERYTHING it claims, and came with some nice joystick caps, 100% happy with purchase!

Great controller!
Used it first on the PC, works a charm with emulation too, then got ahold of a Nintendo switch unexpectedly and was able to use it there too! It’s my go-to controller Love the design! Update: Got a second one out of my spare cash!

To jest ostatni kontroler jaki będę miał :)
Wspaniały kontroler, u mnie pracuje z Raspberry Pi 5 oraz Recalboxem, bezproblemowa współpraca, do tego ładny, funkcjonalny wygląd. Polecam!

Great controller, great quality, and they last!
Best retro controller out there. I've got a couple of them. Buttons click nice, works great, thumbsticks seem an extra + for the money, and they last. Have had them for years now without one failing.

COOL!
I originally was only looking around for a controller I could carry around since I mainly bought it to use on my iPad mini. I play Zenless Zone Zero, so touch controls wasn’t the best for me since I’m more accustomed to using a controller. But this thing is great! It connects really easily with the instructions for the specific device on the back of the controller and it’s really nice to carry around since it’s so slim and small. I bought one for myself and my brother and we both have pretty big hands. I seem to have no issue with it even with all of my button mashing, but he said it was a bit uncomfortable after some use. The overall build is solid and is a pretty decent controller to get at this price point. I would totally recommend to anyone who is on the fence on buying one of these. It’s cool, small, and has a nice design. I’ve always liked retro designs, so I knew I had to get it. Probably one of my favorite controllers I’ve bought! 5 stars in my book!

This is basically a name brand controller, if not better.
Ok, so this is a day 1 review, but thats also part of it... TL;DR version: Well made, performs on par or better than "OEM" or name brand controllers; just buy it, 100% worth it. See pic with origional PS2 controller for size comparison 1) Shipping: i ordered this yesterday Dec. 7th 2023. It arrived Dec.8th 2023. Thats amazing and automatically gave it 3 stars. 2) Feel: This feels like a premium, "name brand" controller. The plastic casing feels sturdy and well made yet somehow retaining that good ol' nostalgic feel of the old controlers/cases us late 80s earyl 90s kids remember very well. All the buttons feel amazing; d-pad, ABXY, start/select, Ls/Rs, even the joysticks are nice and crisp. Virtually no button rattle either which to me never matters as lokg as it performs perfect but i know some people HATE button rattle and i personally cant hear any. The size is perfect, at least for me and i have around medium sized hands. Feels right in the hands. 3) Performance: So far im writting this review about 30min after delivery so i cant speak much there yet but i have tried it on my phone via bluetooth with some old PS1 games and theres virtually no detectable lag/latency between the controller and the game, you press the button the action happens. For comparison I recently modded my phat model PS2 to use a HDD and it has input lag, this seemingly doesnt from what i can tell. Havent used it anywhere else yet as i havemt setup anything else as i primarly wanted this to use with emulators. Cant yet speak on battery life but will update review after ive used it more If anythinf changes i will update my review as needed or after ive had the controller a little bit longer but initial impressions are so good im likely going to buy both the green version and OG version as well. If they made one in a clear blue id buy it day 1 without hesitation.
