Cirumference should always be atleast 4 to 6" larger than original chest size. If 4xl measures 48 maximum, it fits 42-44 chest size.

I mistakenly bought size XL which was a bit large for me; so returned it. My wife complimented it when I tried it at home. I wanted to have replacement with L size but the seller informed they don't have it in stock so returned it because of size issue. It's warm, looks exactly like picture.
