Walker Quiet-Flow SS 21745 Direct Fit Exhaust Muffler 2.75" Outlet (OD) for Subaru Forester

I bought a set of mufflers including this Walker 21745 and a Walker 21746. They fit perfectly on my 2010 Subaru Forester. They appear to be smaller than the OEM units, which actually made them easier to install since there was more room to move them around under the car. I think some reviews have said they are louder than the OEM units, but I haven't found that to be the case. They seem to have a little bit more of a low pitched hum than the OEM untis, but I think they sound great.

Fits well, much quieter than other brands.

Good aftermarket replacement. Tip is different that the stock muffler so dual exhaust cars wouldn't be the same side to side if only replacing one. Hangar rods are a bit long making them hard to get into position without pushing/pulling on the bumper cover to make room.

Bought this and the Walker 21746 muffler for both sides of my 2009 Subaru Forester when one of my original mufflers developed an exhaust leak. The shape is slightly different, but they look the same installed and fit perfect. The exhaust tip is very nice and better than the plain pipe look tip on the base model Forester that I have. The stainless construction should last a very long time. The hardest part of install was removing the existing bolts at the flange. The existing bolts were so severely corroded I could not get any tool on them and had to grind them off. Once both sides of the bolts were ground off and the muffler removed, I had to drill out the stuck remaining bolt remnant in the exhaust flange on one of them. If your bolts are corroded, I would have a grinder, drill and Dremel tool ready to help get the bolts out. Not too difficult, just took a little time. Overall, took about 2 hours to replace both mufflers. I replaced the exhaust flange gaskets with the Walker gasket 31388 and the flange bolts with the Dorman 03423 bolts. I like these mufflers and recommend them.

Replacement for OEM muffler on my 2011 Forrester. Slightly louder than OEM, but exact fit and easy to install. Chrome tips are nice bonus.
