Nice pump
Used this pump to replace a B & G series 100. Make sure you check the flange orientation before buying. Motor should mount horizontally and the flange bolt pattern for this pump is horizontal. If the pump being replaced has flange with a vertical bolt pattern, you will need a 59896341 pump. Very nice pump.

Helped improve my heating system
My old pump was taking along time to heat the home when it was below freezing outside. I noticed that my pump was not installed per the vendors instructions. I discovered that this new pump comes in two orientations to solve my problem. Per instructions, the pump motor needs to be mounted in the horizontal position. Not pointing down or up. The new pump also has 3 flow settings to provide more flow where needed. After install, my house warms up much faster even on cold days.

Small cost backup investment
bought as back up for 4 existing circulators. even loosing function for 1 for any lenght of time during winter cold would be difficult

Does NOT come with flanges or timer
The description says it has a time for pre-programmed usage times. It does not. It only has a 3 speed selector switch. Also, if you're replacing an existing pump you'll be fine, but if you're doing a new installation you'll need the plumbing flanges to adapt to pipe.

Arrived DEAD wasted 3 hours trying to prime, plus 2 hours mounting wiring tearing down
I have two of these running in my house reliably for several years. That said, quality control must sux as a pump so f'd it won't prime should never go out the door. I literally poured water into the inlet and it would not prime/pump. Pulled the check valve out, re wired etc. real pain in the bauls. I'm thinking I should try a new brand. 3 hours of my life trying to prime this pos, plus wiring then unwiring, mounting, unmounting, boxing and returning. 5 hours of pissed off. Not worth using Grundfos again.
