Cafix All Natural Instant Coffee Substitute & Alternative, 7.05oz (Pack of 1)

I discovered Cafix during a UTI (treated with antibiotics). As I couldn't drink coffee, I was desperate for an alternative. I'd tried Kaffree Roma and enjoyed it, but it was unavailable at that time. Cafix worked a treat. And, unlike coffee, it didn't irritate the bladder. As for California's P65 cancer warning label on the container, due to a trace amount of Acrylamide in the roasting process, I take this with a pinch of salt. California tends to over-regulate. LOL. Remember the coffee fiasco over ten years ago? Fortunately, coffee purveyors (including Starbucks) won a long brewing Prop 65 fight in 2020, a proposition that had forced them to issue warning labels regarding Acrylamide on their products. Naturally, the warning labels sent coffee drinkers into a panic, and some businesses had to close. As I understand it, grain beverages like Cafix, Pero, and Kaffree Roma are roasted similarly to coffee, and in Europe, held to a fairly high standard. Therefore, if you enjoy Cafix, drink it in moderation, as I do. For me, the health benefits outweigh any possible health risks. I find it delicious, especially with a little milk. Should you need a morning jolt, try 1/2 mug of freshly brewed dark-roasted coffee and 1/2 mug of Cafix. This creates the best of both worlds. :)

Cafix dissolves easily in hot water, tastes better than decaffeinated coffee, and is caffeine free. It’s great black, with sugar, cream, warm milk, or non dairy creamer. Most satisfying.

I’m quitting coffee so I need something to replace it. I had two friends over who no longer drink coffee and we had a taste test. Cafix won first place over Pero, which was 2nd and Postum which was last. Cafix is darker in color than Pero. Cafix has figs and Pero has rye included in their barley and chicory blend. Both Cafix and Pero mix completely with a little stirring while Postum doesn’t. There was a little residual mix visible in the bottom of my spoon after stirring at different intervals; it just wouldn’t mix. Both Cafix and Pero have an inner seal while Postum has a seal around the jar lid but not inside the jar. Postum is more expensive than Cafix and Pero. I will be buying Cafix from now on. All 3 of us preferred the taste of Cafix to the others. It tasted more like coffee.

This is great. Tastes mild and like Chai Tea or a Cafe Au Lait. However, they don't take returns and when I ordered two, one was open and the powder spilled everywhere inside the box and I had to wash everything I ordered. The packaging needs to be better.

Best tasting coffee substitute I've found! Add a little hazelnut creamer and yum! Trying to give up the caffeine, and love gourmet coffee. I've tried numerous other substitutes and this is by far the best. If you like strong coffee just add an extra spoon of Cafix to hot water and it's pretty dang close to the real thing! It's a substitute, but it ticks all the major boxes. Recommended!

I recently decided to give up coffee, including decaf, for health reasons. I drank coffee all day long, sometimes making a second pot in the early afternoon. I enjoy drinking a warm beverage throughout the day and wanted to find something to replace coffee. I buy a lot of things from Amazon.com and decided to start my search there. I found a number of products to choose from, and after reading the reviews, I decided on these three: Cafix, Caf-Lib, and Dandy Blend. The first thing you must do when trying any coffee substitute is to set your expectations. The reviews I read said these products tasted like coffee. They do not taste like any coffee I have ever had. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but if you are expecting a coffee-like taste when you try one of these, you will be disappointed. That was my experience. I drank my coffee black, and so that is how I prepared these. Perhaps with sweetener and/or creamer these do taste more like coffee. I ordered all three products from Amazon.com, and the first to arrive was Cafix. Thinking it was like coffee, I used a level teaspoon just like I would with instant coffee. It tasted like really weak coffee. I tried adding more to make it stronger, but it still did not taste like coffee, and I was disappointed. I finished the drink and put my cup in the dishwasher. After I thought about it for a while, I realized what I really wanted was a beverage I could drink throughout the day like I did coffee. Whether or not it tasted like coffee was not important. It's not that Cafix tasted bad, it wasn't what I was expecting. So I made myself another cup, and when I finished that one I made a third. By the end of the day I decided that Cafix wasn't so bad after all, I actually enjoyed it. A couple days later I received Caf-Lib and eagerly fixed myself a cup. First impression was good. Caf-Lib tastes similar to Cafix to me, but has more flavor. Caf-Lib is also stronger, so I use less to achieve the same strength. After comparing Cafix and Caf-Lib I decided that I prefer Caf-Lib. The next day Dandy Blend arrived, and I fixed myself a cup right away. The directions say to use a slightly rounded teaspoon for a strong coffee like drink, so that's what I did. Dandy Blend was a little slower to dissolve, requiring that I stir it longer. Not important really, just observation. Finally I took my first sip. To my amazement I found the taste reminded me of Caf-Lib and Cafix. I think the reason is because none of them have the bitter taste of coffee. They are all very mild. Dandy Blend's has slightly more flavor Cafix, but not as much as Caf-Lib. #1: Caf-Lib The most flavorful of these three and my favorite. I used one rounded teaspoon per cup. Has somewhat of a nut flavor. #2: Dandy Blend I used a slightly rounded (almost level) teaspoon per cup. It has somewhat of a smokey smell while stirring. More flavor than Cafix, but not as much as Caf-Lib. #3: Cafix I used one heaping teaspoon of per coffee cup. The taste is very mild. There are many factors to consider when choosing a beverage. I prefer to drink them black, while you may prefer to use creamer and/or sweetener. Only you can determine which one would you prefer with your favorite snack. The reviews are good as a starting point, but I suggest you try all three to discover which one you will enjoy the most.

This product is fabulous.The only coffee I can drink will definitely buy again.

In an attempt to quit coffee and doing a McDougall diet, I was recommended this as a compliant replacement for whose that are following this diet. Man, I'm hooked on it now! If you are a big coffee addict like me, in the start you will think the taste is different and "interesting", but then with time you get used to the taste of it and this can replace coffee very well! Also the sensation that you can drink it away without feeling guilty because of loads of caffeine on your system, makes it even more pleasurable :) I highly recommend!

大麦ライ麦チコリ ビートを原料にポーランドで作っています。カフェインは入っていません。コーヒーによく似た風味でミルクとの相性も良い。200グラム入っていて目安は100杯程度。個人的にはタンポコーヒーよりこちらが好みです。

An excellent healthy replacement to coffee drinking I rely on for health reasons. It even tastes like coffee and if I feel like adding milk to it I works well that way too. Wouldn't be without it now. Thank you seller, and thank you Cafix for exporting to this country.
