I bought these for my son to work on his mental math skills with. They arrived quickly and they look amazing. I am really excited to get started. The lessons are designed to acclimate the learner and get them used to doing speed math. They start off very slowly so that the concepts can easily be grasped before moving up to more complicated material.

This is the second in a series of workbooks for the SAI Speed Math Academy's Abacus Mind Math Course. It provides 10 additional weeks of daily math practice problems and mental exercises.All of their books are well written, nicely illustrated, easy to read, understand and follow. They make learning easy and fun.This is a workbook for daily exercise and practice. The Instruction Book covers the "how to do it" part of the course.All of these SAI books are well worth the price paid. Highly recommended.

I love the way this book is written. It is very easy to understand and teach my daughter. A big "Thank-you", to the author, for writing these books!

Nice but does not explain how to do the exercises

I have been using this with my 7 year old daughter. She has gone from being frustrated and disliking math, to enjoying the “game” of abacus. This book is great!!!

These books are a gem. Provides lots of practice. There is Answer Key which is a great help for a parent.

I think the book is a little hard to understand, even for adults. Seems step by step, but the instructions are difficult to follow.

Bought for teacher to use with her Chinese cultural classes. They like the simplicity of the approach and ease of use.

Five weeks ago before we started this, my seven year old daughter struggled to remember what 4+1 is. Now, into week five of the course, she can work out double figure sums in her head. Soroban is the reason Japan has the best child numeracy stats.
