BOSCH D60498 Drywall Dimpler® Screw Setter, Number 2 Phillips

Perfect for the job

Brilliant pice of kit, sunk the screws to the perfect depth without tearing the paper every time. I probably put a few thousand screws in with this and would highly recommend. Would advise to lubricate it after a bit of use as the mechanism can get slightly stiff and not work as well, but a dot of light oil or similar does the trick and it's as good as new. Obviously will not work well with an impact, use a drill only.

Thought I would give this a go but pretty disappointed. It put the screws in far to deep damaging the paper every time. Bosch says it must be faulty but reading other reviews I think I will stick with eyeballing the depth with a regular bit. Giving it 3 stars as it may be just a fault and had no problem with a refund

Drywall dimpler was ordered on 5.1.22 at around 5pm UK time.Arrived from USA on 7.1.22 at around mid day!!!!-what can i say,im amazed.I was very sceptical when i found out it is despatched from USA and not Uk warehouse but delivery time was even faster than local.I havent use dimpler yet but after quick test was working great which will enable me to erect drywall a lot faster than before.Im not sure who to thanks more amazon seller or UPS itself.Will definitely order more in a future,Impresive :-} A+++++

Great little bit of kit a lot better than other makes on the market

This is a really well designed tool which works without any problem.

worked great to start with so i ordered 3 more. dont last very long all four fell apart with only three rooms boarded. decided better to spend money on a dedicated drywall gun

In the past I have used the drywall dimplers that come in the 4 packs at the big box stores. They work ok, but quickly strip on the Phillips head side, and aren't great at driving drywall screws with a good countersink. I am doing a whole home renovation and have had to replace around 8 sheets of drywall in my kitchen and living room. This Bosch Drywall Dimpler has been amazing for countersinking the drywall screw the exact amount needed each and every time, allowing me to follow up afterwards with mud to hide the screws. The only way you can mess this up is if you don't drive the screw in straight. If you drive the screw at an angle it will causes a portion of the head to stick about the surface of the drywall, which you do not want, of course. I have driven hundreds of drywall screws with this so far and see no signs of wear on the bit yet. Great tool at a great price!
