Excellent CRI and light quality.
Simple to install. The trim fits nice and flush to the ceiling. Nice finished look. These dim nicely and have excellent CRI and light quality. Really no issues at all.

It really is that easy and it works!
This was so easy to install - just basically screwing in a light bulb. After I bought it here, I saw it for less at Costco, but I'm glad I got it. It makes the area brighter and looks more modern.

Easy to install, but 2700K light looks yellowish in kitchen
These were super easy to install. If your overhead recessed light fixtures have either normal sockets (standard E26 base) or the orange snap-on connectors (TP24), then installing these is nearly as easy as screwing in a light bulb. It was far harder to move the ladder around and flip the breaker switches than it was to do the installation itself. Anybody could do it. My lights were the 2700K Soft White ones. In my kitchen, we thought the light looked a bit too yellowish. I think this was my fault for choosing an inappropriate color temperature for the intended use. Apart from that, the light was bright and looks good. The only problem I had is that I hear a super high-pitched whine while they are on. My wife and kids can't hear it. It sounds to me like when you take a hearing test and they play increasingly high-pitched sounds until they get past your hearing range. The sound of the lights is just below the frequency at which the high pitch would become inaudible for me. And as I said, it is apparently inaudible to my wife and kids. I don't yet know the cause of this high-pitched sound. I don't know if it's endemic to the light bulbs themselves, or if it's some kind of interaction with my ancient light switches. I have a pair of plain-old 3-way non-dimming switches that were designed for incandescent bulbs. I am going to try installing some modern dimmer switches (Lutron Maestro) and see if the sound goes away. If so, I'll update this review. If it weren't for the high-pitched noise, I'd rate these lights 4 or possibly 5 stars. **UPDATE**: I ended up solving the problem with the high pitched whine. It wasn't these bulbs at all. Now they are perfectly silent. I am embarrassed to say that the problem was that we replaced 4 overhead lights with these bulbs, but left the 5th bulb (which we believe was inoperative/broken) off, since 4 light was plenty of light anyway. The source of the high-pitched noise was the 5th bulb, a compact fluorescent, that was emitting no visible light, but did emit high-pitched sound. Raising my product rating from 3 to 4 stars. I'd give 5, but we decided we didn't like the 2700K color temperature and are replacing them with some 5000K bulbs. Didn't seem right to give a full 5 stars to a product that we ended up not liking and are replacing. But, if you want the 2700K light, these bulbs might be 5 stars for you.

Awesome LED retrofit light!
Just to put it in context, so far I've purchased 80 of these lights to update my house. Yes, there are a lot of can lights. I wanted 2700k temp, good lumen output, and I wanted the LED illuminator to be recessed so that I didn't have to look at the bright LED light right on the surface of the can. I tested one of these, liked it so much, I bought the rest. I haven't had them long enough to speak to durability, but so far Torchmark customer service has been good. (Bought most the big auction website as they were much cheaper, and they were shipped directly from Torchstar.) It took me about 5 minutes to unpack one, plug in the socket base, move the spring clips to fit my 5" cans (they come sized for 6" cans), and install them. With 80 lights, one was DOA and Torchmark promptly sent me an RMA for the prepaid return. One spring clip broke and I swapped it with the DOA spring clips. I don't consider that defect rate to be unacceptable. The output, once installed, matches my Par 30 75 watt flood bulbs. Color match (warm white) is identical to the Par 30s. And they look very stylish and up-to-date. They are about double the price of non-gimball types, but the non-gimball types all seem to have the LED illuminator right on the surface of the light so it is contantly blinding me. These, unless I am right in the path of the light, I don't get blinded, and I have the added plus of being able to point them anywhere I want and use them in my sloped ceilings.

Very easy to install and they look great.
I have some outside can lights in my soffits where the white cover rings have rusted, making the installation look terrible. I was able to replace the rusted metal cover rings with white plastic (no maintenance) and convert the light to LED at the same time. The bulb and cover ring are all one unit. Because of the lower energy use, these will pay for themselves in the long run at 13W vs 75W for incandescent. This product is a HOME RUN - took about 3 minutes per fixture, and I replaced 14 of them. These are terrific!!

Work well...
We replaced 10 overhead lights with these. Very easy to install and work great! Have had them up for about 6 months. No flickering or problems.
