i have only just installed the new fan, but the difference was immediate. The instillation was relatively easy with an ifixit guide. the included thermal paste wipes, replacement tube of thermal paste, and drivers are handy if you dont have/ keep those items around. i had stopped using the console completely because of fan noise. after playing skyrim for an hour, the console was nice and quiet.

Perfect I have used this exact product twice now to silence two jet engine PS4 pro’s with the first one around three years ago now and it’s still quiet and functioning great. They fit perfect for the specific model they were ordered for keeping the consoles cool and running nice without overheating and the speed is like factory.

Used this on my PS4 Pro Destiny 2 edition that had been running loud with a really annoying whine. The screwdrivers worked well and the fan is nice and quiet. When running at full speed it's loud but doesn't have the whine that the stock one had. And the only reason it ran at full speed was cos I screwed up the thermal paste first time. With that done correctly it's been quiet. For others looking to do this: I watched a couple of teardown videos to see how do it. Mostly it's a lot of unscrewing things, keep track of the screws and where they should go. Biggest issues I had were getting the case apart and the internal power connector. For whatever reason the case on mine needed a LOT of force to pry apart. I ended up giving it a couple of sideways taps with rubber mallet and that seemed to free it up. The thin 4 wire power connector was stuck, possibly even glued in at both ends. In the teardown videos, I saw the guys just quickly pop it off without issue. Mine started to disintegrate as I tried to use pliers. In the end I just left it connected and unscrewed everything I could. I was able to rotate the main board enough to get the fan out and the new one in and then put on the thermal paste. Initially I used a thermal pad from another vendor and that didn't work out. Not sure if it was too thick or I didn't tighten the heatsink down enough, but the PS4 went into full speed fan mode when turned on. I took the pad out, cleaned it all up and then used 5 small blobs of the supplied paste. That seemed to work and it's been quiet so far.

Replacement parts for your PS4 are not something you should skimp on. I previously made the mistake of getting a cheap $15 fan and it immediately was making noises right after installation. I had to wear headphones every time I played PS4, which is not something I can tolerate. So next time I decided to get a more expensive fan (this one) that has great reviews. Let me tell you, this fan is worth every penny. Right after I installed it, my PS4 was completely silent. You literally need to put your ear on the top of the PlayStation to even hear that the fan is running. Bingo!! Not only is the fan perfect, but the other items are also very important. The screwdrivers, specifically the T9 security torx screwdriver, are necessary to take apart the console. Then, the thermal paste included is high quality and is key part of maintaining your system. I highly recommend that you replace the thermal paste as well when you replace the fan. The kit also comes with a plastic applicator tool to evenly spread the thermal paste onto the chip. *There are dozens of YouTube tutorials that show how to replace the fan and the thermal paste. I had basically zero experience with PS4 repair going into this, and the videos were my only resource and helped me out immensely. If you need to replace your PS4 fan, look no further. This is the fan you need to get and it comes with everything you need. FYI if you are going for an extremely thorough cleaning as well, I recommend getting a can of compressed air and some baby wipes or a rubbing alcohol/q-tips or paper towels combo. Might as well go all out if you're taking the whole console apart anyway.

I bought this product as a replacement fan for my PS4 Pro, which I bought refurbished. The stock fan was incredibly loud and presumably damaged. If you're not tech savvy or are concerned about your warranty, then perhaps this isn't for you. However, anyone with a hint of technical prowess should have no problem installing this kit. I have the Playstation apart and back together with the new fan in under an hour. Everything you need is included. I wish there was an option without the screwdrivers however, as I have my own drivers already. Note: When looking as these fans, make sure that it's compatible with your system.

Chose this kit as it included all tools, including the thermal paste, required to replace the cooling fan in my PlayStation 4. The only negative comment is that the description mentions a T9 torx driver when a T8 driver is required. However, The proper T8 driver was included in the kit. The fan is very quiet and apparently doing its job as the unit no longer shuts down shortly after startup due to overheating. As mentioned in the description, ensure you order the correct fan based on the PS4 model number as there are several variations. Many good videos on YouTube showing the required steps needed to replace the fan.

Ich bin schwer begeistert. Anfangs war ich skeptisch ob das was bringt aber der Nidec Lüfter ist deutlich leiser als der Delta Lüfter. Der hat auch so einen hohen Frequenten Ton der schon sehr unangenehm ist. Natürlich kann man nicht erwarten das sie Super Silent wird, aber mit dem Nidec ist sie deutlich angenehmer. Das Packet mit Paste, schrauben Dreher und Tools ist wirklich sehr gut! Hab zwar eine ander Wärmeleitpaste genommen, die hatte ich eben schon da. Denk aber das die mitgelieferte schon okay ist. Unter Strich würde das eventuell 1-2 Grad ausmachen was man bei der PS 4 pro sowieso nicht überprüfen kann. Das Austausch des Lüfters und Wärmeleitpaste ist schon machbar. Ich bin zwar Elektrotechniker aber sollte jeder schaffen den Lüfter und Paste zu Tauschen. Dokumentation ist wichtig, also am besten Fotos machen wo die Schrauben hinkommen. Wer keine Kohle für ne 5er/ Pro hat und seine 4er etwas Pimpen möchte, kann ich den Lüfter absolut empfehlen. Über die Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen. Wenn man die Konsolen aber regelmäßig Reinig hat man lange was von! Das erste Bild zeigt den Nidec Lüfter, habe leider verpennt ein Foto zu machen.

Easy to install - tools were effective, fixed the issue which I was having with my PS4 Pro - ( the bearings on my existing fan had come loose/unbalanced causing significant noise). The fan is still going strong to this day.

İçerisinde termal macun ve iki küçük tornavida da geldi ps4 slim için tamamen uygundu. Değişimini kendim yaptım ve çalıştı. Teşekkürler. Söküm esnasında video ya çekin ben biraz vida arttırdım. Değişimden sonra ps4 slim baya sessiz oldu. 4 yılda macun kötü duruma gelmiş. İçerisinden çıkan eski fan ile gelen fan aynı marka idi.

Great product. Should have changed it years ago to this. If your machine is running loud or slow i recommend using this fan.
