LP174 Cyclops, Dimpled Brass Jingles, Black, Hand Held Tambourine

A great tambourine. Easy to hold and good solid sound. Not to shrill but gives a good vibration and balanced tone.

This is my favorite tambourine... its heavy, and requires some strength to play tho. Meinl uses there very best dimples brass jingles which give it a deep "studio" sound. Not for beginners.

Sounds great! I am very picky when it comes to instruments, this is a great buy! A little heavy for my younger students but I'd recommend to anyone who's looking for a basic one with great sound

It took me 4 purchases before I found a tambourine that adequately replaced my 8 year old brass jingle tambourine that is slowly falling apart now. This handle is almost as comfortable (I swear, I won't ever again find one as comfortable as my Rhythm Tech 2008 model.....their 2016 handles are terrible!) And the sound is a little brighter than my old one which is so rich sounding. But, it's good. No nickel jingles for me....those sound too much like Santa sleigh bells. I'm the lead singer in a '60s to present party band and this is a good match for our song list.

Great sound and made sturdy love it!

This is my favorite. Has a deeper jingle than others. Brass and the dumplings looks good and sounds great with my acoustic band. Was worried over remarks if being heavy for I have weak wrists. But this is not heavy, just like other professional tambourines. It is a well balanced tambourine. Choose this one

I purchased an LP wooden tambourine with steel jingles for under $5 and liked it. I play the drums but never played a tambourine before. I started wondering how much better a professional tambourine would sound so I started looking around and researching and decided on the Cyclops with dimpled brass jingles. The difference is night and day! The wood and steel tambourine sounds more like a sock with quarters in it and the Cyclops sounds more like sleigh bells. The Cyclops is shaped like an eye (thus the name) and is very easy to play. If it weren't for the shape of the Cyclops I think it would be a beast to maneuver since it weighs about twice as much as the wood tambourine (The Cyclops weighs just under 13oz while the wood tambourine is a little over 6oz). While both tambourines have good usable sounds, the Cyclops is very musical and controllable.

普段はギターを弾いていますが、芸を広げようと思い購入。叩き方や持ち方等でシャリシャリした音からキレの良い音まで出せます。 届いた時の感想は「ちょっと安っぽい？」と質感に不満がありましたが、友達は「高そう！」と言ってくれます。素材はポリプロピレンかな？灯油のポリタンクの素材をゴツくしたような感じです。フレームだけでなく、握りのグリップも樹脂で出来ています。軽さを取るか質感を取るかと言ったところでしょう。手の小さい人にはグリップが大きく感じて握りにくいかもしれません。楕円フレームのおかげで狭い車内での練習にもってこいです。それから楕円フレームだと遠心力がかかりにくいのか、軽く振れる感じがします。
