Absolutely worth the lousy assembly instructions
We were looking at buying something like this for our son's first birthday and went back and forth between several models/brands. This one didn't have any reviews on Amazon so I almost didn't take the risk but I am so glad I did. Our son loves riding in this and because there are several different options it fits him great now (even though he is short for his age) and will continue to fit him well for some time. It feels nice and sturdy and seems like it will hold up really well over time. The color on Amazon looks like a light blue but it's actually more of a turquoise that is super pretty. Here is the one warning I have about it: putting it together was a bit of a pain. I am the sort of person that loves putting things together and I am pretty good at making sense out of lousy directions. The minimal directions for this thing are really horrid - they make IKEA directions look like a novel. However, between the lousy directions and zooming in on photos of the trike online I was able to figure it out. There were a couple extra parts that for the life of me I couldn't find a use for but they seem pretty insignificant because this thing is solid. So you are probably going to need to plan a little time for assembly and have the kids out of earshot because you're going to need to curse at this thing, but it is a great trike and totally worth that frustration. Now that I know how to assemble it I almost wish I had another one so I could make a video of the assembly to help out others.

Excellent Push Trike with Terrible Storage
My toddler has been underwhelmed with his stroller for the last couple months, but can't yet make it through one of our several hour walks. Cue either carrying him while pushing the empty stroller, or keeping him in the stroller while crying and carrying on. Neither is particularly thrilling when you're several miles from home. So I spent two- yes two bc I'm obnoxious- months researching and wading through all the options. Amazon Warehouse had a good deal on a "Like New" Fascol so that was my deciding factor to finally purchase this one, as I thought the folding capability would come in handy and the SmarTrikes seem to have really split reviews. It arrived last week with a few of the plastic accessories (the clip for the canopy and some of the pieces to plug the frame holes when you take the parent pushing functionality apart) broken. The paint at the bottom of the handlebar, where it attaches into the steering column, was likewise scratched to hell upon opening. This is NOT affecting my review of the product itself bc obviously I bought one that was explicitly stated to not be new, but I'm including it in case you're trying to decide between a Warehouse deal and a new one so you can choose which is best for you. As I said, mine was in "Like New" condition, so I'd think the "Good" or "Acceptable" ones might have more issues upon unpackaging, although perhaps the issues with mine were just missed. Also please note that the color is different, as a previous reviewer mentioned. We bought the one that looks black and pastel yellow in all the photos ("golden"), and the yellow is actually more tan, close to a Dijon mustard type of yellow. I think the darker color will weather better so I'm fine with it, but just be aware that the photos aren't super exact.HOW DOES IT HANDLE: We've taken it out for several excursions, the longest approximately four hours in length, to bring my oldest child to school and run a bunch of errands. The front tire squeaked a little for the first minute or two the very first time, but quickly quieted down- we had no further noise from it since so I think it was just a new rotation sort of squeak. We have it in push mode as my little one, ~20 months old and ~23lbs, is pretty far from being able to maneuver it on his own. His legs are long enough to not need the optional grey foot rests, so we left those at home and swung down the folded stationary ones which were the perfect height for him. It pushes smoothly along good sidewalks and bad (tree roots lifting the concrete, cracks, etc), manages the street-to-sidewalk ramps well, but also easily accommodates the areas where sidewalks don't have accessible entry and you have to pop a wheelie. The dense rubber tires are a dream and are actually nicer than those on my beloved Britax stroller. At no point was my kiddo uncomfortable and he was personally in it for ~3 of the 4 hours. We used the seat in both forward-facing trike mode as well as rear-facing stroller mode depending on his mood (he was getting tired and cranky). Switching between them is a breeze with the large nut on the bottom of the seat. Not sure he'd fall asleep in it bc it's definitely stiffer than a stroller seat, but we'll see. He had trouble reaching his water bottle in the front cup holder a bit, but he's on the small side; he did eventually get it out on his own. When he's a bit bigger I don't foresee any struggles there.ASSEMBLY / INSTRUCTIONS: Oh boy. Well, I can't say I wasn't warned. Lol! The directions are a single page of tiny thumbnail photos, exclusively. I'm the "furniture and other things" assembler in our family, so most of it was fairly straightforward for me, but I ran into trouble with the handlebar. Fascol responded to a question asked above saying that "Of course" the handlebar can be locked in some way so that the child cannot steer the front wheel while it is in push mode. So I sat there trying to get a movable handle without moving the tire and further scratched the already suffering paint job up, like long threads of dry paint falling onto my floor type of scratches. Eek. As best I can tell, the answer is actually NO, the handlebar seems to *always* controls the front wheel. So tighten that metal clamp until it is genuinely installed and spare your paint from all the damage mine went into. Also please note that there are several assembly videos on Youtube, I found the most helpful ones to be the ones posted on the official Fascol channel. Included with the trike are a small qty of replacement parts (screws etc) and one mystery v-shaped piece of metal that I'm still puzzled by. Had I not seen the "Of course" response above I would likely have installed the handlebar correctly the first time, sparing the paint damage. As a heads up, the front tire has a small red switch on it- this is the pedal lock which makes it so the pedals either do or do not move the front wheel.FOLDING: Very happy to have the option to fold this up so we can bring it places in our car! That's a huge bonus as an apartment-dwelling city resident. It folds easily with those big red buttons, push handle and basket detach for it to be at its smallest. I haven't yet tried it in the trunk of my sedan, but it doesn't take up much more room than our baby stroller so I anticipate it fitting fine.SO WHY FOUR STARS?Instruction/assembly flaws aside, this tricycle is good. Like, super good. I took off one star because the major and exclusive issue I have with it is STORAGE. I assumed the basket in back was on the small side based on photos and it was clearly smaller than some of the other non-folding brands I passed on. Even considering that, I was surprised by how tiny it is. My toddlers two size 5 shoes fit in it with room for not much else. It also does not stay in well, just has two small plastic sliding pseudo-locks which do not stay in place. I managed to fit a small 3lb bag of cat food in it by standing it totally upright, but the entire thing came tumbling off as I walked, bag and basket both. Disappointed by that in a product that is so strongly marketed as a tricycle AND stroller hybrid-type product. There is also no parent organizer/cupholder on the handle (which is fine, lots of push trikes don't come with them standard). Problem is, the (Freddie and Sebbie) stroller organizer I have on my stroller does not fit on it, either, slides down to the button area of the handle. So I bought a new, smaller, one (Go by Goldbug) at a local brick and mortar. It seemed to fit well so I unpackaged the thing, only to have it slide off in the middle of our walk as well. Just got a third organizer, the Skiphop Grab and Go, and have had the best results from it. The straps on it are adjustable, tight, and are backed by a grippy material so although a bit too wide it at least stays on the black foam where I attached it. If you attach it lower on the painted area I'm sure it would also slip. Included an Amazon link at the bottom of my review in case you're looking for something like it. I also may get a velcro attachment mesh stroller bag so I can carry other things without worrying about the basket falling out mid-walk.All in all, very pleased to have purchased this. The other two push trike finalists I had been considering were significantly cheaper, but even so I'm glad I got this one. 4/5 stars, would definitely recommend. Good tricycle as stroller but not for cycling
My son used this tricycle up 2.5 years as a stroller (when I pushed it) and all my family loved it because it was very easy to use it and also very safety. But then we detached stick and all stroller-safety stuff and offered it to my son as a normal tricycle, but he never used it for cycling because it's very hard by itself and also it's hard to push pedals. Finally in 3 years we bought the bicycle that was lighter and more practical for cycling.

Opened it and within minutes the handle material ripped
Haven’t even tried it yet but within moments of opening the package the handle ripped. Not a great sign. Hoping my daughter still enjoys it .

So happy with this purchase
A little conflicted on whether to put 4 or 5 stars. I absolutely love this bike from the foot stools, the tires, the fact that it folds. We get a lot of good use out of this bike. The cons would be the directions were basically nonexistent, though it didn't take long to figure out, and the back basket was pulled off by my 1 year old almost immediately. I would definitely recommend this bike though and always get asked about it.

Love this trike!
It was delivered quickly! I was impressed with the quality of this product and how well it was packaged. It took about an hour to assemble but I found it doable. The frame is a nice one piece metal welded construction and should last a long long time. The rest of the parts are plastic and fabric but seem to be good quality and will last if taken care of. The only thing I think they could make improvements on are the seat belt straps, they seem a bit cheaply made but they do the job. Also I had trouble getting the lower storage basket to lock in place with the adjustable tabs. And the instructions need to be more thorough with better translations. I ended up with a few spare parts but the trike works just fine. The steering is excellent, which I really like and the rubber wheels create a smooth ride. The seat has nice padding and the foot rests are adequate for my 10 month old to put his feet on comfortably. The canopy is large and has great coverage. The way the bike is designed makes it easy to convert when your child gets older. My son really enjoys his time on the trike and loves ringing the bell. I think it’s definitely worth the money if you’re looking for a product that’s made well and will last, not like those cheap plastic trikes.
