They stick to the outside of my socks (not skin), heat up reliably, and keep my toes warm for hours in boots at games, walking the dog, or running errands. I fish all winter and normally do not like wearing heavy boots. These toe warmers will easily fit inside my everyday shoes and provide enough heat to keep my toes warm most days.
