Pushfit fitting for the connection of plastic and copper pipe. Designed, manufactured and assembled in the UK by John Guest Speedfit. Connectors use a grip then seal collet arrangement. Simply push the fitting fully onto the pipe and twist the screw cap up to flange to lock in place. Should the need arise to dismantle the connection, twist screw cap away from flange (approx 1/4 turn) and push the collet towards the body of the fitting and pull the pipe to release. The fitting ensures an easier working environment in confined places and removes the need for hot works on site. Minimum 1 metre run of copper pipe must be installed between the boiler and the Speedfit system. John Guest Speedfit limited offer a 25 year guarantee against any defect in materials or manufacture. Note: With all plastic pipes the relevant manufacturer's pipe insert is required. Not suitable for gas, fuel oil, and compressed air applications; neither is it suitable for stainless steel or chromium plated pipe.
