Estes 2056 U.S. Army Patriot Flying Model Rocket Kit

Estes model rocket kits are always the finest kind. I have lost track of all rockets built since the 1960’s. But, all have been outstanding when Estes kits. One can pick a difficulty level and work from there.. When first beginning model rocketry, our 7th grade science teacher had a shoe box on each student’s desk including body tube, a balsa fin stock sheet, a balsa nose cone of various designs, a motor block and an Estes motor motor for a scratch build. Estes retooled kits over the years replacing plastic for many parts. This has both simplified construction and made for more accurate representation of scale kits. I prefer scale models, generally, but love to build and fly them all. This Patriot model is fine. The Patriot ADA missile was coming online during my military service and is a pleasure to have and build.

This is by far my favorite Estes kit. It's simple to build and flies great! Spend the time to paint it and it looks great, too!

This is a great Estes kit for either a beginner or a more experienced builder looking for an easy scale model. I really took my time with this build, particularly for the fin alignment and also for the scale paint scheme. The time spent aligning the fins paid off. The model ascends vertically without any role or precession. I've flown the model on a few motors, but the Estes B6-4 provides a very nice takeoff with the 4 second delay providing an optimal time to apogee and deployment of the chute. Enjoy.

Interesting kit. Has a body coupler in the assembly for no good reason. A straight body tube would have worked.

It's a nice rocket. Nothing special. If your familiar with rocket building than you get what you expect. I'm never quite sure what to make of the skill levels. This is a level 1 but you need to attach the fins yourself. I always thought level one you should have a base with the fins molded. Other than that, it's pretty simple and easy. I don't ever follow the paint/decal schemes. This one I actually gave to my kids to paint.

The Patriot M-104 from estes is a great kit! It was my 3rd build and the directions were super simple and easy to follow. I put it together in a couple hours and painted it the next day (my own color scheme). I have only launched it once and it was a nice stable flight with a C6-5. I highly suggest this rocket and I hope you have as much fun as I do building and launching rockets.

This is an excellent rocket--which to us, is always the case with Estes rockets. My 12 year old son put it together and it is beautiful! It took very little time to assemble although, of course, you have to allow drying time for the glue, and has been rugged through several launches. We recommend it.
