The best purchase I’ve made this year – totally obsessed!
I’ve used Nespresso machines in hotel rooms and at friends’ places before, but bringing one into my own home hits completely differently. I bought this during a sale after finally having some room in my budget, and honestly, I wish I had done it sooner. The first thing I made was an iced coffee with the light blue iced pod, and I was shocked at how good it was. I’m an iced Americano person to my core, and this pod tasted so smooth, clean, and perfectly balanced. I didn’t expect to be this impressed, but it honestly felt like a little moment of happiness in my day. The machine itself looks sleek and high end, takes up barely any space, and is incredibly easy to use. No mess, no hassle, and no more last minute Starbucks runs or settling for instant coffee. It already makes my mornings feel more put-together and enjoyable. If I could give this 100 stars, I would. This machine genuinely makes me excited to wake up in the morning. Absolutely worth it.

Level Up your coffee game
This Nespresso machine has completely leveled up our morning coffee routine—honestly, it’s been life-changing. The espresso that comes out of this machine is rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious, easily café-quality at home. One of my favorite features is the milk frother. It heats and froths the milk at the same time, and if you time it right, it finishes perfectly as the coffee is done brewing. Having warm, perfectly frothed milk ready to pour right into your coffee is such a small thing, but it makes mornings feel effortless and elevated. I also love how customizable the machine is. You can adjust the larger coffee pods to brew as a shorter pour just by holding the button, which was a total game changer for me. I had purchased several coffee pods that I didn’t enjoy as much as the espresso pods, but being able to shorten the pour made them much more enjoyable—and the machine even remembers your preferred size for next time. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This machine has transformed our coffee experience, saved us trips to coffee shops, and made every morning better.

Love it! (Except for the descaling!)
I've been searching for the 'perfect' coffee-maker for some time now, and I have to say, this Nespresso VertuoPlus comes pretty close. We've been using a Keurig for many years now, and while it's certainly convenient and easy-to-use, lately the quality of the coffee has not been good. I can't seem to find any Keurig pods that make decent coffee any more, and even though my Keurig is only about a year old, I was sick of crappy tasting coffee in the mornings. So I bit the bullet and tried the Nespresso VertuoPlus, and it's SO much better than the Keurig--as others mentioned, it's like getting good coffee from a coffee shop. I can make an Americano that tastes virtually identical to what I get at Starbucks or similar shops, and the machine is very easy to use. Even my husband, who is extremely picky about his coffee, was very impressed by the taste, although he thought just the 7.7 oz. pods alone were a bit on the weak side, so has been using a shot of espresso in them which did the trick. The Pros: Relatively low price for the machine; very easy to set up and use; and great tasting coffee. The Cons: Pods are expensive and not widely available in stores; you can find a couple varieties of Starbucks vertuo pods in local stores, but that's about it. They're mostly available on-line via Nespresso or Amazon, and we're talking an average of about $1 a pod. It's also a bit noisy, which doesn't bother me, but may annoy some people. All in all, I'm very happy with this coffee maker, however I've only had it a couple weeks, so I can't attest to its durability. I'll amend my review if I have any problems with it. UPDATE: I've been using this about 6 months now and it's still working well, with decent coffee quality. However, I have to say the descaling process is nuts. The procedure listed in the manual does not work. Had to go to Nespresso website for accurate instructions. Even with the correct procedure, its a ridiculously cumbersome process. Glad I'll only have to do it once or twice a year!

Great espresso, water tank needs work
Love the machine and the espresso it makes. Hate the design and functionality of the water vessel. It’s wobbly and the lid is way too tight to easily remove. It brews very fast and the milk frother works well. I would buy it again and overall very pleased with it…..until I have to refill the water container lol.

Amazing Coffee If it Comes Out
April 28, 2019 Review of Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Maker by De'Longhi with Aeroccino, Grey PROS The coffee tastes better than starbucks or anywhere that makes it. It creates a frothy foam on the top of the coffee and really makes it an excellent cup. This is about 10x better than kureg as far as taste. Initial setup was easy out of the box. First cups were perfect and the machine made them without issue. CONS After about 2 months we have run into a few problems. The machine does not consistently work and continues to throw out the error code of "no water" or "water container empty" even when there is water in it. See the video for proof. After about 10-15 attempt it works and makes a cup. Luckily it doesn't reject the pod and it can be reused (even though it doesn't really even use it). Note this doesn't happen every time and usually it is the 2nd cup of the day that we end up fighting with the machine on. The other major complaint I have about this machine is precisely the way it tells you the error code. There is no display which code show a code. In stead you have to watch the flashing light and count how many red or green lights flash and how long they stay eliminated. Then you have to use the manual to look up the red/green code. Why can't you just have a $2 display that shows the status of the machine...WOW! What century are we in...lets make the error code reading as complicated at we can that way the user has to guess at the actual problem. Come on nespresso! Even a $5 calculator has a digital display. OK, back to the issue. As you can see on the video there is water in the carafe yet the machine continue to through an error. We are getting more and more frustrated by the cup. I will leave the rating at 3 stars but only because the coffee is so damn good.... when it does create a cup full. UPDATE 5/11/2019 Ok. Now we are going down to 1-star (from 3). The machine makes the first cup every morning just fine. The 2nd cup NEVER works. The "refill water" light flashing comes on after you press the button to start the 2nd cup. I called customer service at Amazon and because we are over the 30-day window (actually 35) Amazon won't take it back. They patch me into Nespresso hot-line and then Nespresso wants to troubleshoot the problem, all over again. After talking to two people at Nespresso and arguing over what the red flashing light means and actually reading the manual to the Nespresso person on the phone she finally agrees to "repair" the machine. At first she wanted to ONLY send an empty UPS box so the machine could be sent to be "repaired by a technician". She told me that process would take about 2-weeks. I told her that was unacceptable and I needed coffee. She reluctantly agreed to send a "loaner" machine that we could use while our machine is "being repaired". After an hour with her on the phone I was ready to give up. It was apparent she had a "protocol" that she had to follow in order to reduce the returns and get customers to give-up because their customer service process is too complicated or there is too much push-back from the representative. I'm overall very disappointed with Nespresso and wish I would have purchased the machine at the local target. At-least then I could just take it back or buy another one and then take this one back. Nespresso you need to whole-heartedly stand behind your product for greater than 35 days and not give your customers the run-around. Think about how many people I'm going to tell about my experience with your product and the poor customer service. Also, add a digital display to the machine, it can't cost more than a free calculator display. A real code to read instead of a flashing light to count flashes like morse code would REALLY help your customers AND your customer service representatives in troubleshooting the errors...DUHH!

Great machine!
Fantastic machine. It has ruined our love of regular coffee. Our regular coffee maker is gathering dust and cobwebs. Well worth the money!

Good quality coffee, a bit too pricey
I love the coffee from the De'Longhi Nespresso Vertuo Plus - it tastes rich and smooth, and the machine brews it very fast with virtually no wait time in the morning. If you want a quick, great-tasting cup, this does exactly that. That said, there are a few downsides. You can't use any pods other than Nespresso-branded Vertuo capsules, which are on the expensive side. Also, the largest size you can brew is 7.7 ounces (so if you're looking for a bigger cup, this won't cut it). Overall it makes excellent coffee quickly, but the pod limitations and cost are definitely things to consider
