The Korda Krimp Tool is a great product that is designed for crimping hook link materials. It can be used with the small or large Korda Krimps and has a soft-touch rubberized handle that helps to create extremely strong, neat rigs . The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials like Hybrid Stiff, Mouth Trap, and BOOM. In particular, the Krimps allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono or 35lb BOOM). According to Advanced Carp Fishing, the Korda Krimp Tool and Krimps make rig tying with stiff materials easier and neater than tying knots can ever be. However, care is needed in its use. Rushed connections and incorrectly crushed crimps can lead to loops slipping and hook links breaking. Take the time and care to crimp properly and it’ll serve you well. Great other than handles slipping.
These are a good set of crimping pliers other than the handles turning in on themselves which stops you from crimping all the way down, I actually added a touch of super glue to mine and now they work perfect but realistically for the price compared to other brands that don’t have this problem I shouldn’t have to then go and buy super glue for them, also I have both the large and mini tool and both had the same issue so chances are it’s a manufacturing issue rather than just a faulty product as the chances of buying 2 completely different pairs and both having the same problem seen pretty slim.
