Ibiza XTK8 8-Inch 200 W Professional Speaker Box

I needed a foldback wedge style monitor suitable for use by a six piece band playing in small to medium halls to an audience of 100 to 150 people. The function of the monitor is to enable the band to hear what they are singing and playing. A separate PA system delivers sound to the audience. Input to the monitor is backing track plus four microphones plus instruments via a powered mixer. I considered a maximum wattage of around 50 to 70 Watts RMS to be adequate, which by my reckoning could be provided by an 8” speaker. That size of speaker would not be physically intrusive at the front of a stage whilst being more portable than larger models. The speaker sits horizontally and the contour of the casing enables the speaker face to be angled upwards facing the band.I considered a small number of other 8” monitors suitably powered and decided on the Ibiza because unlike others in its price range it had separate on-board mic and line volume controls with bass and treble tone controls.There is almost negligible hiss from the speaker at full volume when there is no input. The sound from voice and instruments is clear – remarkably so considering the reasonable cost of the unit. The casing is robust moulded ABS. One slight issue; the moulded handle had not been deburred and it caused a slight cut to my hand during unpacking. The handle was easily smoothed using a file but this was a slight minus in an otherwise impressive unit. The mains plug was European, but since the other end of the lead is a kettle plug I replaced it with a spare lead of UK standard.In my case the unit is being used as a monitor, but it has all the functionality and the fidelity to be used as a PA system for speech and music in a small to medium sized hall.My verdict – a well made robust wedge monitor speaker that delivers quality sound, fully fitting my requirement at reasonable cost.

I'm not linked to this company in any way but have to say this has been one of my best buys ever. Bought initially for PA for the speeches at my daughters wedding I've now used it loads, as a monitor for my disco setup, and for tons of BBQs and family events, it's really quite powerful. Hint is by attaching another, passive, speaker the sound is even better. Great value for a most useful unit

I'm using this as a keyboard monitor and occasionally for general music playback.Its very well built and feels like it will last forever. I imagine it could take a beating and survive only minor cosmetic damage.Sound quality wise its good. Decent frequency range but there is a slight hiss and hum when idle. But at this price it's still excellent value.

Having recently purchased a head rush board I decided I didn’t really need a pair of the companies frfr speakers for what would essentially be home and small gig use. I bought a pair of these for well under £200 with the expectation of them being at least good enough for rehearsal. I will happily admit they out performed my original idea in so much as each cab has plenty of room to spare in the volume dept and they deliver a depth of tone that bellies their size. I’m sure the headrush frfr cabs will sound far better but I’m happy enough with these for both rehearsing and live at decent levels.

I work for a musical company and not expecting theatre quality sound for this price but it's good for what you pay. Only getting 3 stars as I would expect at least to get a UK power lead ANNOYING. Luckily I have a supply but still.......

At just under half volume it is the same volume as the current pair of speakers I was using. Simple set up, plug in wires and off you go. I use it as a monitor for my set recordings for online mixes as I DJ part time. Sound quality is excellent, for the money its incredible value, lightweight, good build, only downside is when turned on and idle there is a slight buzzing sound but apart from that I'm so happy I may buy another one !

Great speaker very loud clean sound, I bought these to run my little Fender GT40 guitar amp into and wow what a sound, Iv had many amp set ups over the years and these speakers beat them all, I did have a look inside and the druvers are high quality, and they even have acoustic damping neatly placed round the inside, very pleased

Ordered in prime as needed for the following night.It came in time but with a European plug!!!! Even though I ordered in the UK, no mention of this.Did not have adapter obviously! So couldn’t use it.Waste of time, still so t k is how it sounds. Very annoying

Le rapport qualité / son / prix est franchement très bien.

Il suono è pulito, perfetto, anche al massimo della potenza, ovviamente dopo un po' di riscaldamento, all'aperto sono fantastiche, anche in luoghi all'aperto.

la qualité du son, top pour une petite enceinte 😁 il a une bonne puissance et une bonne qualité du son 👌 dommage qu'il n'y a pas de bluetooth 😔
