Don't bother. It's not even worth the small price. It did not retract. I had to push the tape back in but even then, the last few inches would not go in.I have completely revised my review. I tried everything to get it to retract and worked on it over a day. Then my husband came by and said, "You just have to squeeze the sides". I did this and, voila, it quickly and completely retracted.It would be helpful if the maker would put some"press here to retract " symbols on the case and include directions.It is a cute item and will easily fit into my purse

The leather is nice, all works the o ky challenge is it doest always stay in a locked position if needed

Purchased over 5 years ago and the tape is just now starting to get warped on the first inch or two. I keep this in my purse and use it frequently, the first couple stitches keeping the cover on have come loose but it’s hardly noticeable and hasn’t gotten any worse than that. Will gladly be buying another!

The tape fell off on the 3rd measurement I checked.I did hand sew it back on. But it should not have fallen off.

Great little tool to keep around. Originally bought it for work to use to measure for placement when applying heat transfers to garments but have used it for other measuring as well. Works great, doesn't get caught up when protract or retracting. Fair price.

High quality, really nice feel. Excellent value for cost. Why did I wait so long to get such an aesthetically pleasing piece of kit?! Treat yourself!
