Intermediate level
This is a great piano book if you are an intermediate piano player.

feel like Real Piano Music
This book has the most classical-feeling music in it of all of the Basic Piano Library books, unlike some of them where it shakes up different music types. Starting at the second song, Theme from Swan Lake, it goes through a long string of songs that, for the first time, feel like Real Piano Music, as opposed to cute folk tunes or straight up boring piano drills, which is the vibe of the rest of the books, including #6.

Great piano book series.
We have been using Alfred's series for 10 years. Love it.

Typical Alfred
The book is much like the others with an emphasis on scales and theory, which is why I like this series. This book for some reason is not in color. That isn't a big deal, but since the others are it seems a little bland with all black and white pictures. There is a little too much emphasis on minor and my child is getting sick of gloomy sounding songs, but hopefully that will change soon.

Great Series
This is a great series. My son has used Alfred's since he was eight years old and has done very well.

Great lessons and music, not as great quality
An excellent lesson book with quite challenging and appealing classical pieces to learn, many of them well known. No complaints about content, as per all the Alfred lesson books. Star off is for a dip in production quality of the book - a notably thinner and duller cover, and no more colour images inside - almost like a cheap rip off version of the other books I've bought in the series. Seems odd. Can't help but wonder if I got sent a real one or not....

Part of a really good series for adults who come late to the piano!
This is the penultimate book in the series that starts with books 2 & 3 combined as an adult entry level course for piano. I got the first book in a charity shop and then ordered the other three books of which this is one of them.

Excellent
I like to teach using this Alfred series as teaching by finger numbers and intervals makes pupils better sight readers and the pieces are all fun. Also big print is so useful and easier to read and the pieces are graded gradually.
