The filter is too small for the britta pitcher the water flows ineffectually down the sides of the filter rather than through the filter...this is antithetical to a water filter that is suppose to remove lead. How could Britta put out such a defective product is beyond me.

The blue filters seem to filter faster than the white ones, the pitcher refills much faster now. I bought it because our water supply was disturbed, making it possible for lead from old pipes to leach into our water. I feel much safer drinking filtered water, and the longer lasting filter saves money.
