The Definitive VINYL Version of the Best Solo Beatles Album!!!
This is the newest remastered version of the Greatest Solo Beatles album on VINYL. I say vinyl, because it has been remastered before in 2000 right before George's death and again in 2010 as a RSD limited release. The 2000 version which George oversaw stripped some of the Wall of Sound that Phil Spector heavily saturated the album. Their were some nice bonus tracks like the unused "I live For You" among others. The 2010 remaster was a step back to the original version. So one would ask why buy this album? Well for one, the previous remasters were as a whole lacking in the pressing phase. Too many buyers complained of the records skipping, warping, etc... Before I bought the album here on Amazon. I did some study as to where the album was pressed, whether it was the analog tapes used or a digital source. From the sticker a fixed to the wrapper it states it is the original analog tapes, on 180 gram vinyl and states it was pressed in Germany. Now whether that is at Pallas, which has done some magical pressings of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album and many others. I don't know. I had heard Abbey Road had a hand in this version as well. It has also been said Dhani Harrison had a hand in this process, if so, he and all involved need to be commended. This is by far the best Vinyl version remaster I have heard. The 2000 version is great on CD. This is the definitive remaster on vinyl. When you drop the needle onto the record, it is dead quiet. It has been remastered quietly, which when you turn the volume up the songs open up and reveal depth not heard before in this format. The packaging outside is exact, if the only the hinge box is slightly thicker than any previous version. Some of that is the 180 gram records it houses, but there is another reason. I bought my first "All Things Must Pass" album in 1970 with the snow shoveling money I had worked for that week during snow storm in Atlantic Iowa that November. It had just been released and I was already hooked on The Beatles. So having a fondness for George's Beatle songs I took the plunge. Over the years that first pressing was played and played. The inner sleeves took a beating as did the hinged box. The records are still great, even though there are a few pops and crackles. Well when they put this Remaster together they took the care of putting each album in what I would call a rice paper inner white sleeve with plastic insides to protect the records. They also put the original sleeves which have the lyrics to the songs on them in inside as well. So these replica sleeves should last the lifetime of the records themselves because you don't have to use them. The only cosmetic change was to the orange Apple labels on the records. Now instead of a whole Apple on sides 1 and 3 and the half cut Apple on 2 and 4. They are all whole orange apples. Almost as if saying none of these songs were less deserving of A-side status than any other songs. In closing, if you are getting into vinyl for the first time or like me needing a new copy of this classic album because you played it to death. This is the one to get. The RSD from 2010 ( the 40th yr since it's original release) now runs into the several hundreds of dollars to buy because it was limited. The 2000 vinyl version is also expensive. This 2017 remaster is also a Limited release, so get one while they are still under $100.00. Because like the man said, All Things Must Pass, and this version will become scarce in a short time.

The BEST Beatles solo album right here!
After The Beatles broke up, they all went on to solo careers. While Paul McCartney obviously had the most successful, he didn’t put out the best solo record. That was George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass”. An epic 3LP, 2CD release that features Harrison’s biggest solo hit “My Sweet Lord”. (I’ve always loved the contrast between this song and Lennon’s “Imagine”, two great inspirational songs from polar opposite points of view.)There’s a lot of music here, and it’ll take time for it all to percolate through the listener, but this is NOT background music. It’s best to devote your time and attention to it. Trust me, you’ll get a lot more out of it that way. I love this passionately.

Incredible Vinyl Mastering
I purchased this vinyl copy of All Things Must Pass in October, but I’m just now listening to it today, since I wanted to upgrade my turntable before I put a needle to the platters. Wow!! I’m honestly hearing the best sounding version of this classic album I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard it in its many iterations over the years. Ever since I acquired the single Isn’t It A Pity/My Sweet Lord back in 1970, this has been and remains not only my favorite solo Beatles album, but perhaps my all time favorite album, period. The remastering of this 3 LP set is truly incredible. I’m hearing things I’ve either forgotten about or never knew existed.A lot of detail has been put into this release, faithfully reproducing the original package, including the poster and lyric sleeves. The discs themselves are housed in separate plastic-lined sleeves, which protects the albums and allows the listener to view the lyrics without damaging the main sleeves from repeated use. The red Apple label is present on each side of LPs 1 and 2, while the 3rd LP ( (Apple Jam) has a unique green and white Apple label. As several of the reviewers of this 180 g vinyl version have previously stated, the discs are void of any background noise whatsoever. All you hear is the music, the way it was meant to be heard. The original master tapes were used for the mastering of this album, and it shows. The sound quality of these LPs honestly blows away all other versions of this title.Very highly recommended from someone who rarely writes reviews of any kind. When something is done this well, people should be informed.

A home run
This is the third vinyl copy of this album I own. The other two are an original Apple pressing, and one on the purple Capitol (large logo) label. I used to think the Apple pressing was superior, but this one takes the cake. I'm hearing details I either missed the first time around or just could never hear. Lots of depth and clarity, and the vinyl is dead quiet and flat. The package is a virtual replica of the Apple box, right down to the poster. They put the discs themselves in nice separate sleeves so you can preserve the lyric sleeves. Really a nice job all the way around. I am more than satisfied.

Isnt it a pity it took 20 years to get this album sorted out with the sound engineers? Not really, its beautifully worth wait!
remastering makes this SOUND TOTALLY DIFFERENT than original--and the extra cuts are worth it alone- Beware of Darkness and the other tunes--George at his haunting and spiritually rousing best.......thanks Geroge for all of your blessings...

Great Music by beloved George---recording Stinks!
5 stars for George and his eternal music. 0-2 stars for the sad people who messed up the original recordings. Having grown up and bought this album when new I can verify that this recording is NOT a valid original. It has been remastered by people who most likely were not in the 15-25 year old age group when the album came out; therefore they don't have a clue what it should sound like so they made it sound like a sofa in a living room. There are too many mistakes to mention here but some are the wrong sound levels, like Georges voice in My Sweet Lord is not as original. Not worth the money. Sucks!

George's Masterpiece
This is George's masterpiece. Full of beauty, the songs range from the sublime My Sweet Lord to the rollicking Wah-wah, with George's unique way with a melody and lovely slide guitar featuring throughout. There are so many great songs on here - Beware of Darkness, I'd Have You Anytime, Isn't It A Pity and the title track to name just a few. The production is warm in that lovely natural 70s way, and the performances throughout are bang on.An essential album for Beatles & George fans, and lovers of 70s rock....oh, and anyone who likes great music!

Great Supplier , Fantastic sounds, smiles all round !
Redrocksrecordspoole need to be congratulated at the highest level ! I was initially disappointed by the late delivery/loss of this album . . . . . BUT. . . . they really went the extra mile to rectify the problem ( and I will certainly seek them out and look to them as a preferred supplier from now on ) EXCELLENT customer service it seems being a customer to your company really matters to you which is VERY PLEASING in this day and age ( Thank you ).The original tracks from the album have put a smile on my face all afternoon and I am looking forward to getting pleasure from the 2001 mixes which were remixed under Georges supervision .It was always one of my 'go to' albums and to anyone who didn't buy it at the time , I would strongly recommend your adding it to your collection . Part of the genius that was The Beatles at his best . BUY IT !

The Best post Beatles Album
Is this the Best post Beatles album. Lennon had Imagine, McCartney had Band on the Run. Harrison had All Things Must Pass. He clearly had a beautiful collection of songs which never made the Beatles Albums. Using Derek and the Dominos band. With some additional players, Ringo, Alan White, Klaus Voormann, Billy Preston, Garry Brooker, Ray Cooper and even Dhani Harrison on My Sweet Lord on this anniversary issue. This is an excellent example of his fabulous talent. Beautifully packaged. Beautiful songs. Yes this is the best of the post Beatles albums. A must for all fans
7**!
Very good
This album deserves 4.5 stars. This is a very good album. Fairplay, George Harrison did succeed in delivering a well rounded triple album, and the songs highlight the best of that era and the best of Harrison. It's very much an ensemble piece, of course, yet at the core is his songwriting. Don't get me wrong, as much as I enjoyed this album and agree it does deserve to be highly regarded, some critics do go overboard. It does hold up well, but some of the songs are quite simple. I look at it more as a collection of great songs and jamming, not of completely masterful songwriting. Some of the critics seem to go ga ga of the writing, yet I was quite surprised in their simplicity. I realise the following songwriters/lyricysts are all different, yet don't expect a Dylan, or Neil Young or Bernie Taupin etc. Regarding the jams, I know some critics have not been kind towards them. I disagree. Obviously if you don't like jamming and/or instrumental numbers, they wont appeal to you however, I think they serve the album well, (minus the 'It's Johnny's birthday', which is just random as hell). For anyone who appreciate AOR, or just love the vinyl era, purchase this. I knew nothing really of Mr. Harrison prior to listening to this, yet I sat through this album twice, in its entirety. It was a very quick 100 minutes...which is a good thing of course.

Mellow Pop and Rock briliance from start to end.
His best solo album, full of songs Lennon-McCartney unfairly rejected, presented here in remastered sound quality that puts some of the aggresion back into the sound that Phil Spector subtracted, and with illuminating bonus tracks and colorized packaging. Densely produced melodic rock. The Apple Jam tracks are fun fluff. Most of the album is serious rumination on life, love, etc.

it could easily be a Beatles album
Being a Beatles fan since I was born this review can be considered a bit biased. In this day and time i only buy CD's that i really think to be an important part of history. This album got to be on my top 10 of all time, it could easily be a Beatles album, and in my opinion is the best Beatle solo album, just perfect from start to finnish.Love the artwork, it just feels like a smaller version of the original LP.

another review, different CD same Artist
George Harrison, could really reach inside your heart with some of his tracks and it was as if he had experienced some of the same things I have. Well why am I surprised many people have had similar if not the same experiences, difference being we are not all talented in the music composing department like he was. But we are able to choose what one of the many different genres and songs he wrote to suit many moods. This CD has many such tracks. A mixture. Sadly I think Mr Harrison was underrated during his lifetime, maybe not though in his reality, I was just a listener and still am of many genres of music, I didn't really think about the people behind that music I was just thankful for music I love and like, George made that. I know he also had a film company too but, it's his music that fascinates, moves and gives my ears enjoyment as well as being impressed by how diligent he was in producing it. After watching a documentary about him, yes I was around when the Beetles were together, but we never really heard much about or from Mr Harrison as I would have liked, having seen the documentary I learned just how versatile he was in producing pleasing, melodic, rock, ballads and even a bit of country style, as well as folk with incredible production. And what a deep thinking man he was. That is obvious in his music that thankfully has not died.CD delivered during time specified by seller and in perfect condition.

Totally Wonderfull
Look, its been my favourite album for years. This remastered version only ehances the original experience. The Ballad of Frankie Crisp still gets me every time, But its not just that its the whole feel of the album, it is a man finally released and alive. Its a shame so many people miss his great guitar playing and song writting.

Don't pass on this one!
Have orginal Triple album. The 'AppleJam' jam session was always a sticky subject musically. The Rest is pure excellence. Showing how much Georges' material may have been squeezed off many Beatle albums. This is genius, mostly. Good transition to CD, convenience friendly. Worth every penny.Karl O'Neill.

Magnificent
This is a fantastic album!I think it's better than any LP that The Beatles made. While still in The Beatles, George Harrison showed that he was a great songwriter.'Something','While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and 'Here Comes The Sun' are among the greatest songs ever written. With "All Things Must Pass" George Harrison was able to really demonstrate his superb talent. The music on this album is so beautiful, especially George's slide guitar. The whole album is great but some of my favourite tracks are;1)'All Things Must Pass'.2)'Ballad Of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)'.3)'Art Of Dying'.4)'Beware Of Darkness.'5)'I Live For You.'6)'Isn't It A Pity?'

The Not So Quiet Beatle......
As the third songwriter in The Beatles and always competing for album space with two bandmates who rank among the greatest songwriters of all time, George Harrison had a large collection of unrecorded songs by the time the Beatles broke up in 1970. This album was the result. A bona fide classic in every way.

A great Remaster!
An old favourite rediscovered on the great remastered CD set. A great album, probably George Harrison’s best solo work post Beatles.
